I got an email from Jim Edwards excellent newsletter "I Gotta Tell It" today talking about trackbacks and pings.
I’m still only dimly grasping it – but coming up to speed fast – but I went to look at his brilliant little videos with his friend Thomas which made me take action and set up a blog on typepad.com which I have been meaning to do for ages.
(I have always loved the way their blogs look, all the people I admire use them and they offer the facility to "feed" content to other people’s sites and now, if you have the "Plus" or "Pro" vesion, you can do this trackback and ping thing.

Do you remember that I went to the World Internet Summit 2004 and came back raving about it?
Anyone who bought the CD’s has also been equally impressed – including my lil’ sister in Perth, Oz, who is working through them right now and getting SO MANY ideas…….

| The thing I love about TUT and his daily messages is that they are quirky, funny and often VERY relevent to what’s going on in my life.
On down days they are loving and hopeful, on good days he seems to know that things are going well. Now I know it’s all done by autoresponders but the quality of the writing seems timeless somehow. Yesterday I got this one – and it’s spooky because yesterday I also got an email to say that I’m 99% towards realising a MAJOR goal I set myself last October – and half a year earlier than even dreamed of…… "We often have to shhhh’em-up, nicola, here in the unseen. It’s just that they become so excited when they see that a really HUGE dream is about to manifest in the seen, they completely forget that from where you are, nothing, yet, appears any different. Upsetting people again

Interesting story about my blog….one of my contacts received an email from one of her clients and by wandering about her site, she clicked a link to mine and ended up on this blog.
She must have been interested because she went a couple of pages back and then stumbled on the last "TUT’s Message From The Universe" – the one about taking little steps, why most people don’t get started on their journey because little steps seem too paltry, and wearing comfy shoes.
Well she took great exception to that message for some reason and wrote a really stroppy email to my contact, telling her that she really should make sure that "offensive" people such as TUT be moderated on a public blog and that it reflected badly on my contact that such a thing was linked to by her site.
Most mysterious! I emailed the "Message" to my friend and she couldn’t see anything wrong with it either.
