Phew! Thought this was a holiday!

Whew! The kids are on holidays but I’m still slaving away not only on my own stuff (catching up on creation of sales letters etc.) but also bringing up to speed (with Steve of course) two of the new clients of our new company www.automatedmarketingmachine.com – who are the boys from Ballard Shaw and Gill Fielding of the Wealth Company
I’m also starting, very tentatively to get my head around podcasting. Since I bought an iPod for the gym, and put my favourite blogs on my new RSS feed (which keeps them in one place on my desktop and alerts me when all my favourite bloggers post a new post), I’m dimly grasping the potential of podcasting.
After all, I have an ebook that is chunked down in segments and I could podcast a segment a day from that as a starter. The audio bit is fine, as is the uploading the audio, and I’m cool with promoting it online via the podcasting directories (I think!) but the actual mechanics of posting it on my blog and other people RSS feeding it is a bit vague.
Ramon Williamson fired me up with his ebook ……..hang on, I’ll look for the link and post it here in a sec…..
What Are You Planning To Do This Sunday?

Hi there!
Can you spare me three minutes?
I’m just back from the Wealth Creation weekend and I’m still reeling from listening to some totally amazing speakers, covering the Four Lanes of the Wealth Highway.
Property was inspiringly covered by Peter Stanley and Greg Ballard of Ballard Shaw, and the keynote speech by Gill Fielding moved many in the room to tears – being both touching and inspirational – me included!
Gill gave us all the chance of becoming a multi-millionaire over the weekend, if we all …..
Feedback from The Wealth Conference

Well, it’s been a week now since the Wealth Creation Conference and the feedback has been tremendous. Steve is busy editing the audio recordings ready for the CD and digital download sales – a time consuming job. The testimonials are coming in thick and fast and these are just three of them….
“Nicola, ….Your vision for the wealth conference was a grand one and the two days were absolutely fantastic. You created something I have never seen at a conference before – the whole wealth creation package. It is real niche in the market…..No-one else offers …..
Reporting Live From UK Wealth Creation Conference

Well, here I am surrounded by all the Wealth Creation speakers and attendees, and we are having an absolute blast!
In the usual Watson/Cairncross stylee we stayed up far too late in the restaurant on the first night with Peter Stanley ( www.propertymadesimple.com) and Kevin Burch ( www.enlightenedwealth.com ) – Peter was presenting on investing in Manchester and Kevin did a brilliant presentation weaving together the concept of "paying it forward" and earning shedloads so that you can pay it forward again.
The catchphrase for the conference is "Bring It On" and we really are going for it here! All of the speakers are sitting in on each other’s sessions too as they are learning from each other and as they are all very positive people, the atmosphere is electric.
I had heard about Rohan from Gill Fielding and, my goodness, he was amazing! What energy and so funny! Talking of funny, the Ballard Shaw boys are here – of course! and Greg’s presentation had me in stitches as usual.
Steve Watson is really coming out of his comfort zone and, having organised all of the behind the scenes details, he’s running around with the hand-held mike for questions as well as assisting David Clark with the recording and PA system – I am so looking forward to editing the whole thing and creating the CD set.
We are covering the Four Lanes of The Wealth Highway and a couple of topics to complement those lanes, like using free PR to explode your profits (my slot – peaking at the showing of the video of my CNN triumph) and "gorilla marketing" by Debbie Jenkins – who was passionate, powerful and again, very, very funny!
Guy Levine is talking about creating a one-hour taster CD for marketing the next one and wow! that’ll be dynamite as well. The speakers are really cramming in some great content and the delegates are struggling to find questions even, as their brains are full to bursting!
Logging off now as it’s dinner time but I’ll be back!

The Best Laid Plans & Murphy’s Law

Reading this today on my coach Chris Barrows blog – I really felt for him as we have been having trouble with the shoppingcart/worldpay combo on bookings for the UK’s 1st Wealth Creation Conference this week!
"So there we are, launching the world’s first practice management webinar for coaches to 2000 ezine readers last Friday.
And the people who run the shopping cart facility don’t tell us that their systems will be down over the weekend.
Result? Small bouts of chaos and confusion and yours truly incandescent with frustration.
Its now Wednesday and we are still not 100% sure that ……"

On CNN Today (tomorrow!)

Omigod! Just been called up by CNN News – they want me to appear on their CNN Today breakfast programme (http://www.cnn.com/).
It’s all about how internet entrepreneurs survived the dot com bubble bursting and went on to make money online.
This must have come from Paula Gardner’s press release for me about speaking at the World Internet Summit (Paula is fab and has a great DIY press/pr programme at www.doyourownpr.com )
They are sending a car to pick Steve and I up at 5.30 tomorrow morning to go to London and I’m on at 7.45am. We’re taking the lappie and will work in the car but we haven’t managed to get a G3 card like Guy Levine has, so won’t be online unfortunately!
Ooo-er. Feel the fear and do it anyway girlfriend!
Excellent Free Dating Tips

I don’t know if you know, but I’m currently single. My ex-husband and I parted fairly amicably and – apart from a fairly wild fling and a bad case of unrequited, I am largely unattached.
I’m usually happy with that as I have a busy and fulfilling work life, lots of wonderful friends, I share the house with my kids, Steve Watson, my business partner and friend and various lodgers. I go away regularly for work for great weekends with the Ballard Shaw boys and to various conferences. I flirt a lot.
But I do realise that I’m too young to hang up the "little black book" and because I’m a pro-active kind of girl, I belong to several online dating sites and I subscribe to Michael Myerscough’s fantastic ezine – he’s variously known as the Relationship Coach and the Great Sex Coach and is becoming very well known due to his brilliant branding (he’s one of us!)
He’s got a fab free teleclass coming up soon and if you are single, it might be fun to check it out….
(just for your reference, any potential dates must be 6" minimum, dynamic and entrepreneurial, have an outrageous sense of humour, love soul, r&b and dance music and live within 50 miles of Worthing. Which ain’t good as half my catchment area is in the sea!)

Only 16 Places Left…..
by Nicola Cairncross on March 2, 2005
in Money Gym | Diaries
There are only 16 places left at the UK’s 1st Wealth Creation Conference if all the people who have emailed me today to ask final questions go on to book.
How exciting!
And we are going to break even and even make a small profit even with all the attractive features we have offered, because it’s the first one.
* Two for the price of one
* Three instalments
* Three early bird booking discounts
So we will probably go again in September and it will be much easier next time because we will have testimonials from an actual conference. Marvellous.
Ughhhh!

As part of my losing weight / getting fit mission – for health and lots of other reasons – I’ve been going to the gym three times a week, working with a personal trainer to make sure I get it right, Steve and I are eating very healthily and we have been cutting down on the "fine wine" consumption – trying not even to have one glass with dinner but to drink sparkling water instead.
My french therapist thinks I really am mad now!
My friend Guy has been getting fit for ages now and he’s lost loads of weight and got very fit. He makes my laugh with his stories though….
(Guy Levine says) I don’t know about you, but health plays a pretty big part in my life. Because at the end of the day, you can be as clever and entrepreneurial as you like, but if you cant get out of bed in the morning, it all goes a bit pear shaped.
Now I know that there are people who have over come illness and I admire them greatly, but in the most part, if you want to make loads of money, own a great business, have lots of free time or well, what ever it is, you need some good health.
One of my solutions? Juicing. This involves putting various fruit and veg through a juicer, and drinking the …..
