Getting very twitchy now….

I’m getting very very twitchy now. Steve has gone away for a stag weekend in Newquay and, while I will miss him obviously, it means I get my hands on his dial-up connection via his laptop networked to mine.
I’m working with two lappies in the dining area of our new house and my brain just won’t accept that ……
Playing again!

I’m just playing with Armand Morin’s great new software tool Directory Generator in spite of all the frustrations with dial up. It’s guaranteed to create a massive surge of traffic to the designated sites so that’s gotta be good, right? I’ve created several directories already….
The Book Is Published!

My book went live on Bookshaker.com today!
This started life as an idea for 10 core Wealth Creation topics, then it grew into 10 key points about each topic, then I grew it into a paragraph or two about each key point, then I added an action step for each key point, I threw in some recommended reading, websites to visit.
I found a Research & Development team by….
Whew! what a week!

This broadband thing is really getting to us now…….I never realised what a difference it makes. Steve has managed to cobble together a dial up connection (set price, unlimited time fortunately!) to our new phone line so we aren’t having to share the woefully inadaquate Vodaphone 3G card now, which means I can get online anytime. But the dial up speed the card achieves (Shoreham Beach being between Brighton and Worthing and thus between 3G broadband signals) is pathetic.
The one question I am going to ask all potential clients now who come to me for Wealth Creation / Internet Passive income coaching is…..
Blogging At The Speed of Dial Up

Well, you may have noticed that things have been a bit quiet round here recently.
That’s because we decided to move house very suddenly! Last tuesday I went to view a house in my ideal location – Shoreham Beach – that Steve had already seen……
The Reservoir System In Marketing
by Nicola Cairncross on April 12, 2005

I’ll never forget when my Business Coach, Chris Barrow, told me about the reservoir system, the sense of relief I got when I understood that, if you could just fill up your reservoir of "potential future clients" then, every time you topped it up a bit, some would spill out the other side into actually becoming clients. Then he told me that the magic number was about 1000, unless you were very niche. Well, I’m very niche as you know, and the magic number for me was 600 people in my reservoir. Marvellous!

Here’s what Chris had to say about The Reservoir Marketing System in his blog today…..
We are 3G enabled (miracle!)

Well, finally, we are 3G enabled. No more paying hotel broadband bills, or being dependent on wireless signals that come and go.
But it wasn’t without it’s hiccups, and the Vodaphone systems crashing on the very day they finally got the cards in didn’t help.
But Superman Steve got it all working (with some choice swear words along the way) so he’s now sitting on my lappie in the living room searching eBay for a lappie for him……….
So that when we move, we can work anywhere. Marvellous!
Affiliate Income Update
by Nicola Cairncross on April 10, 2005

I was wondering idly how much my various affiliate incomes add up to now and so I went to do a bit of a back-of-a-fag-packet calculation.
It’s well over $700 per month……..that’s quite something. The Google Adsense catagories that are performing best are "interior design" and "hospitality" interestingly – and I don’t even have proper sites for those yet, just the one page sites asking people "what one thing do you most want to know about……"
What can I do to boost my adsense income? I’ve just added an adsense bar to my blog here, under "sponsors" and I’m going to have to have a bit of a think about this.
Cool little Google AdSense Tool

I’ve just found out about a great little tool called SysSense which allows you to download a little bit of software (it’s not free but it is "donation-ware" which means you make a donation when you download it) which then tracks your Google AdSense earnings from your desktop.
I’ve just downloaded it and I’m waiting for it to get my AdSense info and tell me how much I’ve made this month. I’ll let you know…..

Wealth Conference Audios Finished!
by Nicola Cairncross on April 4, 2005
in Money Gym | Diaries
It was a big day today; Steve finished and uploaded the edited audio recordings from the UK’s 1st Wealth Creation Conference, I finished and uploaded the three sales pages, split testing the three different price points. We have finished all the back end at the shopping cart – adtracker, products, autoresponders – the whole shebang.
And it was no mean feat keeping my attention focused as I had another dead fish to deal with – sadly Sunny, the little orange one, passed away in the night.
Guy Levine, Internet Guru and goldfish keeper to the rescue. "Your water sounds wrong to me" he said. "Change a third every other day, top up the enzyme stuff and dose ‘em up with the "ich" remedy every time you introduce a new fish". D’you know what the "ich" remedy turns out to be? Formaldehyde! Very poisonous to small children apparently!
Pet shop break aside, we have mailed the Financial Intelligence 101 email discussion group (they always get to test the goodies first) and as there are about 300 or so members, that should give me a good feel for which price point works best on the audio recordings.
This means the FIP101 email group get a great discount while giving me good feedback. Then I will use that one as the lowest price point and test again upwards.
I’ll let you know how it goes….
