Blogging At The Speed of Dial Up

Well, you may have noticed that things have been a bit quiet round here recently.
That’s because we decided to move house very suddenly! Last tuesday I went to view a house in my ideal location - Shoreham Beach - that Steve had already seen……
He liked it, I liked it, but as we were looking round, the agent mentioned that there was another house round the corner that had just come onto the market.
I went round to have a look, called Steve immediately, and said "go have a look - I think you’ll like it".
As I expected, within a few minutes of him walking in the door, he called and said "that’s the one".
As we didn’t want to miss it, we decided to rent it there and then. Then we thought, "well, what’s holding us here - may as well move in".
So this Monday we did. To get a feel for where we live now visit http://www.shorehambysea.com/ (check out the "your photo galleries" section for some nice shots, and if you are into surfing and kite surfing you can visit www.surfladle.co.uk
That involved some frantic packing last week and some frantic unpacking this week!
And British Telecom buggered up turning the telephone line on (suprise?) so the broadband was delayed until the day that Steve was going away for three days to Gill Fielding’s Wealth Creation weekend.
Ho hum.
Never mind, I thought, I have a working Vodaphone 3G card for my puter.
Ah. Well it turns out that Shoreham By Sea is halfway between Brighton and Worthing - one of the reasons I want to live there. But that means halfway between 3G signals.
Which means dial up. Intermittent dial up that cuts out on a regular basis.
Cheesus.
