Nicola says: I was recommended to this newsletter by Maria Davies and the content seems quite sound….might have to get the book!
by Loral Langemeier, author of "The Millionaire Maker"
"Who wants to be a millionaire? That’s the first question I’ll often ask a group. I’m not surprised to see most of the hands shoot straight up. Then, I’ll ask who thinks they can become a millionaire. As long as the audience isn’t peppered with my clients, many of whom have already become multi-millionaires, many of the hands quickly drop.
The truth is that it’s not hard to make a million dollars today. Unfortunately, there isn’t very much good information about how to do this effectively. Get rich quick schemes often make you poor just as quickly. Through a lot of real-life experimentation and working with an incredible team, I’ve created a process by which anyone, and I mean anyone can become wealthy. These are wealth secrets that have been hidden to the general public – until now.
I’ve learned that to become – and stay – a millionaire, there are certain steps you must take. But crucial to making a ton of money that you can actually keep and use is …
Wealth Creation Conference Impressions #1

I’m still very emotional from how much of an amazing/challenging/wonderful/hard work/transendental event the Wealth Creation Conference was. There is nothing like doing something HUGE like this to bring all your old negative beliefs and limiting assumptions to the surface again and it was only some very strenuous coaching FROM all concerned FOR some of those concerned that kept us strong!
I keep bursting into tears at the sheer relief and the thought we got 120-140 people there who all had a fantastic time…………..
Postal Obscenity!

Steve brought something to show me today that he had received through the post………and it was absolutely obscene! I’m shocked to my core and don’t quite know what to do about it – write to Watchdog perhaps?
What was it that has upset me so much? A credit card offer, that’s what.
From Vanquis, it’s a VISA card aimed at people (and I quote) who have
Tenants

You will know that I was one of the terrified when it came to property investing, but no more.
I have two places secured with Passive Investments (that’s ten properties) and I’m going it alone with one. We have just arrived at the end of our first year together, my tenant and I, lovely man – but he’s moving out, long story. He had some rotten luck with his employer and as he couldn’t guarantee being able to continue to pay the rent, he has done the decent thing and given me his notice.
Conference Reflections

Well, phew! We are all just returned from the UK Wealth Creation Conference at Heythrop Park. Were you there? If not, you DEFINITELY missed out. It was fun, lots and lots of exhausting fun. We met wonderful new friends, we learned tons of lovely wealth creation techniques, we were reminded of stuff we knew already but hadn’t yet acted upon, we re-connected with our own very powerful reasons why we want to create wealth, and we had a party while doing it.
We Love Saturdays – It’s Official

My mate and business pard’ner Judith Morgan loves Satudays and writes eloquently about it here >>>>. I have to say that I quite enjoy Saturdays althought they are a bit of a challenge in the winter…..especially now the central heating, while working is making the most horrendous clunks and clangs when it first fire up at 6am that it wakes the whole house! The X Factor is great fun though and has totally replaced Casualty in my early evening viewing – see my other post about the X Factor and it’s gripping qualities.
No, Gotta Do It…the X Factor!

No, it’s no good, I’ve got to post on the X Factor!
Now those long time readers of the "Life, Love & The Diary of A Seaside Landlady….." newsletter will know that there are three things that get me going………..music (particularly soulful music), triumph over adversity and realising your dreams (even when you least expect to) and really, the X Factor has it all.
Bit of background; I used to be in the music industry as a manager and still have a music industry website business so love the whole judges/mentoring thing, my sister Heather is an international opera, contemporay classical and jazz singer so I love the performance aspect, and I’m really into the coaching/personal development scene so I love the whole aspirational thing, of folks like Andy being a dustman who sings like an angel and Brenda turning up for a relaxing weekend in Dublin with her husband only to find that (a) X Factor are auditioning and (b) she’s now in the last 10. Phew! How cool must that be?
Interestingly, it’s my business and personal development buddies – like Steve Watson and Judith Morgan – that are really into it, not my "music ‘n’ media" mates.
Judith does not have a tv so she has to either …..

The X Factor Continued….

So who do we rate this week?
Brenda……..omigod, she has the voice of a soul angel. I love a full on soul voice with a "bottom" in it, she has a real deep, gospel, soul voice and she is rising to the challenge personally too.
The challenge of being that superb as a singer who sings other people’s songs is that you become ghetto’ised as a backing / session singer – like Jocelyn Brown, India and many others. However, people do break out, Diana Ross and Luthor Van Dross, for example. But for each one of those who do break out, there are people like Micheal Watford – awesome singer but the record label never got behind him – and his first and only album (which was superb – died due to lack of backing from a marketing point of view. And there are people like Omar who are stunning but never really get past the first album.
Then there are amazing people like Lyndon David Hall who get dealt a really grim hand by life. Omigod the man is an X Factor if ever I saw or heard one. Beautiful, british, soulful and a great songwriter. But just after his first or second album he got cancer. Cheesus, I hated hearing that news. He’s still fighting it and I wish him so many good wishes. His accoustic soul version of "Do Angels Cry" is on my list of songs to play at my funeral – I just love it so much.
Whatever Happened To The Acacia?
by Nicola Cairncross on November 5, 2005
in Money Gym | Diaries
Several people have asked me recently "whatever happened to The Acacia?" – especially journalists. And there are many more of those now, thanks to the fantastic job Paula Gardner of DoYourOwnPR.com is doing for The Money Gym!
The short answer is "I sold it" and people find that very hard to understand.
Why would you sell a business that you created from scratch? Why would you sell a property that we all know will grow in value, especially if we accept the statistics that property doubles in value every 7-10 years (which I do).
I thought it might be interesting, for the readers of my newsletter who were there from the beginning when I first went to view it and for newer readers, to give you the "long answer" and to write an article giving the story of The Acacia and updating that story.
It’s especially interesting from ….
