No, it’s no good, I’ve got to post on the X Factor!

Now those long time readers of the "Life, Love & The Diary of A Seaside Landlady….." newsletter will know that there are three things that get me going………..music (particularly soulful music), triumph over adversity and realising your dreams (even when you least expect to) and really, the X Factor has it all.

Bit of background;  I used to be in the music industry as a manager and still have a music industry website business so love the whole judges/mentoring thing, my sister Heather is an international opera, contemporay classical and jazz singer so I love the performance aspect, and I’m really into the coaching/personal development scene so I love the whole aspirational thing, of folks like Andy being a dustman who sings like an angel and Brenda turning up for a relaxing weekend in Dublin with her husband only to find that (a) X Factor are auditioning and (b) she’s now in the last 10.  Phew!  How cool must that be?

Interestingly, it’s my business and personal development buddies - like Steve Watson and Judith Morgan - that are really into it, not my "music ‘n’ media" mates.

Judith does not have a tv so she has to either …..

…..get someone to record it or invite herself round someone’s house.

I tease her about who she is inflicting herself on, socially, this Saturday…..hilarious really as she’s the best company and one would almost pay to have her come and spend a saturday night with ya.

I find my own jokes the funniest……..as anyone who knows me will tell you.  Andy, Judith and Greg will tell you that I actually cried at one of my own jokes in La Padella one lunchtime!

Tonight, Judith has her family round to watch the biggest fireword display in the country (the City of London firework display) from her Canary Wharf flat so I’ve been torturing her via MSN about how our various favourites are doing - "don’t tell me, please don’t tell me" she pleaded tonight.  As she’s so usually very much in charge, I loved that.
