Where’s Nicola Been This Week?
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
This week has all been about networking online via Ecademy and the telephone, setting up speaking gigs for October (see above/below for dates), doing surveys for our ezine and clients, and writing, writing, writing.
Very interesting feedback from our ezine readers survey, which you can see below…..However, 50% of you said that you didn’t read the ezine at all which makes me wonder what you are getting out of the mailing list - aha! The Financial Intelligence 101 Wealth Tips I suppose…..
I’ve been blogging and podcasting like a madwoman, and have also produced a 20-odd page “White Paper Report” called …
….“Effortless Business Success – 21st Century Style” which is going to entice local businesses to sign up to our Automated Marketing Machine mailing list. Their contact details have been gleaned from two very inexpensive CD Roms that the Worthing and
Brighton
Town Halls
have kindly provided (check out your local council website to see if they do one too).
I want to market more locally as I suspect that being able to meet people face to face will speed up the marketing funnel progress for Automated Marketing Machine. I’ve been struggling with networking locally as what we do is perceived competition for website designers but since I’ve had my epiphany on the fact that we are a “lead generation” company, not a website company, and I’ve amended my marketing accordingly, things are really starting to rock ‘n’ roll.
The two www.SupermatchSoftware.com sites went live this week – you can see them at www.FindAMotivationalSpeaker.com and www.FindABusinessMentor.com – the Google campaigns are running and we just need to get the sites filled up with 1000 plus users (www.ArtistManager.com has over 46,000) and we can start charging for memberships. Both sites have Google Adsense on them though so are earning from that from Day One.
As you may have noticed from Sarah’s ratting on my in this ezine – it’s my birthday this week. I’m 45 on Friday – it’s very odd. I don’t feel a day over 25 especially since I’ve lost weight. My mate Kim is organising something and liaising secretly with Steve and my sisters.
Reminds me of my 40th when my ex had organised a surprise curry party at home for me with loads of my mates! And I thought we were going to the Pepper Tree (the fab restaurant that Steve ran) - how weird life is eh?
I still forget about how different I look now and when I went to have coffee with my lovely bank manager Mike Murray today, he was most shocked to see me, as the last time we got together was in January when I recorded the video interview with him (see it on my Ecademy profile). We galloped through an update on all my businesses (he produced statements that showed what the turnover was in each over the year - I was astounded! and what the average balance was each month).
I told him the plans for some of them, he updated me on his property portfolio and business empire and it’s all good.
Lovely man.
Have fun! I am!
Nicola
