Alexis catches up with Nicola

from Alexis Garnaut-Miller

Alexis Garnaut-Miller - The Happiness Centre
Hi
Nicola, hope you’ve had a fabulous year and that it’s full of love,
light and abundance! Unbelievable how fast life flows … faster each
year.

I miss

The Money Gym
coaching as it was hugely useful to me.  It’s
been an interesting year to witness
The
Happiness Centre
growing (2 years now growing consistently …
we’re really starting to get a name in the market now for Corporate
Wellness – v.exciting).

Other big win has been my first step into Property in Hastings (yep
– finally sunk in that I COULD do it with no, to low, money down)
AWESOME EVIDENCE I HAVE SHIFTED WITH MINDSET ON WHAT’S POSSIBLE FOR
ME!!

Finally I dropped my beliefs that “property is scary and only for
other people with security of a job, a partner or money in the bank”
… new belief, now that I’ve walked through the purchase process that
“it’s actually just a step-by-step process”. A conversation I had
one day with you and

Andy Shaw
left a permanent impression on me about….

Stats (well, Nicola thinks they’re jolly exciting…) and free hugs for you

by Nicola Cairncross – taken from Wealth Strategy Secrets ezine 14/12/2006

This week has been largely spent in
front of our

TotalBusinessCart
shopping cart and
marketing system and creating various
coloured spreadsheets – I’ve gone
statistics mad. Started for our AMM
clients and now got the bug for us.

Our recent restructuring and an easing
off of speaking and travelling in the
run up to Christmas, has meant that I
can catch up with all those jobs that
you REALLY want to do, but never get
time for. One of those was to put a
tracking system in place for each of our
core businesses. I knew this had to be
simple yet comprehensive, produce
something by which we could measure my
marketing activities, but above all it
had to be do-able. Not just that it was
possible to do it, but that I was LIKELY
to do it. I know my limitations.

Again, this has all come from the Rich
Schefren’s Internet Marketing Manifesto
(together with the Missing Chapter and
the Final Chapter of same). He said
something in there about this big
knowledge and information publishing
company he is now working with knowing
what percentage of their mailing list
were actually customers, and about
knowing how long it took each customer
to move through the various phases of
the marketing and product funnel.

This has been playing around in my head,
obviously burrowing deeper and deeper
into my brain, so this week I decided to
do some research, which turned out to be
EASY thanks to the fact I have been
using

TotalBusinessCart
since 2003 if not
earlier, for The Money Gym.

I first of all …

How A Math’s Dunce Does Marketing Analysis…

I first of all created a list of all Money Gym Full Coaching Programme orders since 2003. I ignored the passive income products for the time being, because a) I’m really focused at the moment on the Money Gym marketing and b) I wanted to produce something that would be of interest to the wider coaching community (many Money Gym clients come from that community or referrals from other coaches).

I established a list of Money Gym Clients (which was bigger than I thought originally) and made a note of the date each of them signed up for the mailing list ….

Someone’s Not Heard Of The Secret!

Nicola says:

I was being interviewed by a jounalist yesterday for Cosmo magazine and we were talking about treating your money as it it were a love affair;  how to make it work in the early days, how to keep the spark alive and how to make money feel cherished, looked after and NOT taken for granted.

Inevitably, the talk turned to the Law of Attraction – which I do believe in but struggle with a bit sometimes – and she said "well, we can allude to it but any direct reference…….no, not for Cosmo readers"

I mentioned "The Secret" and she hadn’t heard of it at all.

Not only was I amazed that a journalist hadn’t heard of The Secret, but I was very saddened that 350,000 young women between 18-25 (UK Circulation of Cosmo) would not get to hear about the Law of Attraction and get to make their minds up for themselves.

But I think I managed to sneak in ….

Belief, Attraction, Action

by NicolaCairncross on December 15, 2006

Margaret says:

I’m still exploring this Attraction mentality.

No doubt over the years I’ve faced and fretted for limiting beliefs about money: other people are rich, money doesn’t make you happy, you only make big money by working long and hard and dirty… I found these beliefs relatively easy to ditch once I’d faced them head on and realised just how silly and limited they were.

Attraction seems the next natural step – beginning with that attitude of gratitude. You just cannot believe how grateful I am for the fact that I will be celebrating this Christmas in a financially stronger situation than I have ever been in, with deeper bonds to my family who are living closer to me than for the last 20 years… Certainly I’m grateful. I wanted it, I planned for it, did I attract it?

I have to say I really associated with Nicola’s story yesterday of being grateful for a hot, luxurious shower only to have the boiler break down! Guess you then become grateful about the engineer who fixes it!

To my mind there is also a further step that goes with Attraction – that of taking action. While I love to think that all goodness and wealth will flow to me surely I also have some responsibility for doing something?

Gill Fielding has her own version of an ancient Chinese proverb which runs something like "Hungry man wait long time with mouth open for crispy duck to fly in".

For me focussed actions allow me to take advantages of the opportunities that come my way. I do need to educate myself about real ways to make my money work for me for I’ve still not seen that tree upon which money grows… or is that another limiting belief ;-) And, when I’ve read all that I want I then need to take action – having every book on the subject of wealth will not in itself make me rich – will it? I do need to stop spending money on dribs and drabs. I do need to start saving or investing… one step at a time.

I know there are many people reading this blog who have much more experience with managing the Attraction mentality and I’d love to hear from you too. Where does Action sit with Attraction?

Turning your thoughts to abundance and a Fluffy Sock list

by Nicola Cairncross on December 14, 2006

by Nicola Cairncross

How do you turn scarcity thinking into abundance thinking?  And do you have any resources to recommend?

This question was asked recently by Kenn Schroder of www.CoachingSitesThatWork.com on the US version of the coaching email discussion list that I belong to, and it got me thinking, as did the fantastic responses of some of the coaches on the list.

In my opinion, being a practical type, in addition to all of the above, nothing beats success in creating abundance – no matter how little – in shifting from scarcity to abundance.  That’s why the first $$ in profit earned online is so important – you then BELIEVE passive income is possible, because you have the proof.

One of the most useful things for me, personally, in moving from scarcity mode (which I had been in for many years due to a boom or bust childhood – that’s one I’m still working on) to abundance mode was something my brilliant first coach Rachel Turner called the "Fluffy Sock List"…

Kim Kiyosaki Interview at Entrepreneur.com

Over at Entrepreneur.com there is a great interview by Kim Kiyosaki, talking about women, business success and property investment and, in particular, why she thinks women hesitate to invest in property and build businesses, and why she thinks we all should have a part time business called "Managing & Growing Your Money"

Brace Yourself For A Rant!

Nicola says:

I’m sorry, I can’t help myself!

For the first time in ages I watched the News – that terrible story unfolding in Suffolk (my thoughts are with the families of those girls – they are pretty sure it’s a serial killer now – one comment when showing video footage of the girls before they died, was "lost girls" and my brain spontaneously supplied "girls without enough help" – the footage of the girls was very very sad)

Anyway, it drew me away from my usual Tuesday night fare of blogging, fabulous US medico dramas, a curry and bottle of fine Cote Du Rhone to share for two.

Even if one of those two is Mr Bloomin’ Poker Champion of the Universe Steve Watson (thanks to some new videos) playing three tables at once!!

Within the live footage of shocked reporters and police trying to keep up with events in Suffolk was contained the two seperate stories as follows – which made me laugh in term of the Nanny State disappearing up it’s own BACKSIDE!!

1.  The government is introducing compulsory pension schemes for low paid workers – it’s called the "Piggy Bank Scheme" and it’s the opposite of "organ donors" – you don’t get to opt in, you have to opt out.

Employers are predictably squealing like …..

No, Judith Is Winning Hands Down!!

The tagging game continues and my partner in the Money Gym, Judith Morgan (she who once said that she’ couldn’t believe ANYONE would ever want to read about her musical tastes!!) has been tagged twice already in 24 hours – this makes her bloggin’ royalty maties!!

Her post about her "5 Things That You Don’t Know About Judith" has just knocked my previous favourite post about Banana Flavoured THings into a cocked hat (as the saying goes!!)  It’s funny and poignant and it’s uncovered that one of her favourite tunes of all time is the same as one of mine….
