Nicola’s Week: Diary of a Wealth Coach

Mark Forster, who I highly recommend for his innovative time management blog GetEveryThingDone and books, has just reviewed his stockmarket portfolio, which he chooses by using one of the easy, “one morning a year” strategies recommended in my book (not that I’m saying he got it from there, it’s quite a well known strategy that’s returned over 20% per annum since about the 1930’s).My Sister and Paul McCartney

REAL LIFE
It’s been a very exciting week with the
Beach Dreams finale last weekend,
including the procession, live music on
the green, and a brilliant party on
Saturday in a fabulous house on the
foreshore – very aspirational for me, as
that is where I want to live.
There were loads of people I knew there,
Paul Fuggle came down for the weekend
(ex Money Gym client and business
partner), it was really great to see him
again, see how focused he is and hear
about his recent wealth creation
activities!
The kids all swam in the pool, in spite
of the wind and showers in the evening,
and frolicked in the hot tub for hours,
and it was all great fun!
On the Sunday we took a picnic down to
the green again to listen to the live
music which was more laid back that day
and then in the evening…

Just thought I’d pass on some information you might find useful…
As of 30th June 2007 BookShaker will no longer be selling print books
direct to the public. So, in order to clear their remaining print stock they
have dramatically slashed the prices off all their print titles.

Discounts range from 20% to 80% but after 30th June you will only
be able to buy ebooks direct – so this is a genuine one-off chance
to get these savings.
You can find and buy all the affected titles by clicking this book link…

Nicola says: I was recently interviewed by fellow Ecademy Blackstar Dr Alan Rae for some research he’s doing for Brunel Univisity Business School, on how SME’s like The Money Gym Club are using the internet to "Punch About Their Weight" in marketing themselves nowadays.

Abundant Angels Abound…Blogs We Love #1
by Nicola Cairncross on June 19, 2007
in Money Gym | Success
Start your Tuesday on a high….Judith has been blogging in a most inspired manner on her week – go and read her report on some quite marvellous changes happening in her life since her attendance at the EFT workshop last week – it’s inspired writing at it’s finest, mixing fantastic grammer with down to earth reporting and high doses of humour.
She’s inspired me to blog more often, something that has slipped a bit with the new membership site and I’m going to try and post something every day again now.
Covering angels, manifesting abundance and some confessions about her business partners (!!) liberally mixed with dollops of Judith’s down to earth style…..and she reports delightedly on a dream I had about her together with a dream Money Gym Coach and Judith’s buddy Marion had in the same week.
Interestingly, one of the people in my dream was Paul Fuggle from Total Business Cart and lo and behold! he manifested himself at the weekend for the Beach Dreams festival. Paul was one of the earliest Money Gym clients, and we get on famously, but we haven’t seen much of Paul since the rather tense ending of a company we all worked on together, and it was lovely to really connect with him again and realise that we REALLY enjoy his company.
I wish Paul would blog more though!! When he and Philly (his business partner) do blog it’s very good, but they don’t do it enough. However, he was taking photos of the weekend so he may yet stir his stumps….

Judith blogtagged me recently with "Songs That Make Your Soul Sing" and I now have to do the same to someone else – it’s all about trackback and ping.
This is Lola’s Theme by the Shapeshifters – garage music at it’s finest. This is dedicated to someone very special who came into my life exactly when this tune came out! You know who you are !! and you HAVE made me a different person. The original video has been take off YouTube but here is the song anyway.

Nicola’s Week

I’m experiencing an interesting phenomena which is a bit of an eye opener…….the less I have to do, both in my head or in my diary, the more clear and calm I feel, and the more focused I am.
I can only assume this is because I am only working on The Money Gym Club, and only doing the marketing of that – thanks to the coaches doing the coaching, Judith looking after the coaches and the "big" finances, Steve for shouldering all the logistics, admin and day to day finance.
Because I have more space in my brain, I’m finding that, if we have a challenge or a situation, I just mull things over for a while, and brilliant ideas are surfacing.
Now I know this will probably be obvious to you, my readers, and it’s something we all know, and I used to coach clients around it, but it’s actually a bit of a challenge for most people to achieve.
Especially me, in the past.
Running more than one business, trying do all the roles in each of those businesses, trying to be a single mum to little ones (now they are 9 & 12 years old they are a lot more independent thank goodness – they can feed themselves at a push, the 12 year old even changes her clothes and showers spontaneously!!)
A couple of examples…
Challenge 1:
I was puzzling about how to get more ….
