Billy Schwer & Phoebe

Last night I spoke for Tamkin’s Club Entrepreneur in London and I took my 12 year old Phoebe as she has never seen me speak, and I thought it’s time that she sees what Mummy actually does for a living (well, part of it anyway).

When my bit was over (I was on first) I asked her if she wanted to go, but Tamkin was introducing the next speaker, Billy Schwer, Luton born boy, boxer and previous Commonwealth & European Lightweight Champion, and former IBO Light Welterweight World Champion….

Billy told an amazing story, his own, and shared his 3-D Formula for success and it totally blew P away. When he came over to say hello she was thrilled as she was trying to pluck up the courage to go over to him and we had been practicing her handshake specially….He is a natural speaker and very comfortable on stage, articulate, funny and self deprecating. We liked him enormously!

We All Cried On Saturday

Madonna Decena blows the judges and audience away on Britains Got Talent 2008 with a breathtaking performance of this famous Whitney Houston song..Britains Got Talent 2008. But this 33 year-old from the Philippines lived up to her billing, as she wowed the judges and audience with her powerful performance and heart-felt story. Trembling and a little unsure of herself, Madonna walked onto the stage and told everyone her reason for being there. Six months ago she flew out to Britain in the hope of creating a better life for herself and two young daughters. Agonisingly she had to leave her precious children behind with their grandparents in the Philippines, until she had raised enough money to send for them. Her rendition of I Will Always Love You brought a collective lump to the auditorium’s throat. “I know you were singing that song for your babies” said a tearful Amanda. This audition was no Holiday for Madonna, it was potentially life-changing, and when the panel told her she had made it to the next round… it was as if all her dreams had been answered, just Like A Prayer.

Holiday With Nicola?

I’m really really excited to bring you some very special news!  If you want an example of “Attraction In Action” read on and be AMAZED! 

You may not know it, but I’ve been wanting to get a holiday for ages, but what with having to move house a few times in the last couple of years, and Steve, Judith and me working our butts off (in a fun way!) on The Money Gym…..apart from a weekend in Pisa & Florence, Italy, it just hasn’t happened.

But that hasn’t stopped me thinking about it and dreaming about what kind of a holiday I would like….and with all the different ages and interests in this house, let me tell you it would be tricky to find anything that suited all.  Our requirements for any dream holiday seemed impossible but include ….

1.  Loads for the kids to do (suiting both a 10 year old and a 13 year old going on 16.)
2.  Loads of stuff for me to do / learn – I get bored lying by a pool or on a beach all day
3.  Space for us all to get away from each other
4.  Lots of sun and fabulous places to visit
5.  Easy to get to from Shoreham By Sea – plane ideally!
6.  All inclusive – no cooking or cleaning
7.  No driving
8.  Great nightlifeWell, I had concluded that a cruise might be just the ticket and I had thought, well, if you are gonna cruise at all, the Caribbean is the place to go, eh?  But it still seemed so far away…daunting stuff really…
