How Can You Mend A Broken Heart?
Sep 13th, 2008 | By NicolaCairncross | Category: Money Gym | TVSo, how can you mend a broken heart? And why am I asking…………….ah, there’s a story!
One way is through music I believe, and here is a link to the amazing Al Green, performing his seminal song of the same name on YouTube - total magic.
Did you enjoy that? I love that song…..anything by Al Green is ok by me.
Another way to mend a broken heart, believe it or not, is to twitter it away……….yes, that thing called twitter can indeed mend a broken heart - more particularly a child’s broken heart.
Isn’t that amazing?
Did you get involved in DrMani’s Tweet_A_Thon on Twitter yesterday? A great example of internet marketing helping to make a difference…he raised $36,000 in total, I believe. How many new hearts is that, I wonder?
Dr Mani is a very well respected Indian heart surgeon, who uses internet marketing to raise money for operations for kids with congenital heart defects. He holds a blog-a-thon every year, to raise money, but this year he held a 24 hour Tweet_A_Thon on Twitter. See how it went at
I completely re-wrote the property chapter of my Money Gym book for the event, and even though I was sitting in the audience at WIS UK 2008, I knew I was doing my bit! Benefit to me? Lots of new followers on Twitter.
Get access to ALL the celebrity guest donations, including my “Leaked Property Chapter” and three audio chapters of the book, for a $25 donation to Heart Kids here:
I will be sending that chapter out to eveyone who has bought the ebook from our site, as a special bonus….I’m thinking about sending the newly finished audio version to the ebook/bundle purchasers too!
Two presentations stood out at WIS yesterday - Debra Thompson Roedl and Sean Roach, the latter because of his scary news about the fact that, when you sign up to Facebook and MySpace and even Linked In, you are signing away the rights to any of your own copyrighted content that you post on the site. Blimey!
I went to WIS specifically to support Tim Brocklehurst who presented yesterday morning - unluckily, his powerpoint did not work, after the first half an hour - a speaker’s nightmare! I’m not sure I could present without my little pictures to remind me what to say!

2 Days | Central London | £25.00 to Great Ormond St Hospital
Talking of my presenting…..I’m working on my hour slot for next week - the topic is TOP SECRET still but I’m really excited about it. Totally new stuff for me and VERY powerful.
Talking of next week…….We are being blown away by the sales of our “Money Gym Presents…..Brett McFall Live” event next weekend.
We have exceeded our initial target of 120 attendees still with one week to go, and having changed venue, have capacity in the new venue, for only 97 more people!!
97 divided by 2 = 48 more bookings on average (most people booking for two).
If you are wavering, take action now as the new venue - the Mayfair Cavendish Conference Centre - are very strict. You must book in advance as it will be sold out by……Thursday, I estimate.
As you know, all ticket sale proceeds to Great Ormond St Hospital remember so secure your seat, event if you or your friend MAY not make it, it’s a good cause.

See you there!

Coincidence? I trained for a year at Great Ormond Street hospital!
Thanks for helping with the tweet-a-thon, Nicola.
All success
