The Money Gym has just launched The Boardroom, an easy, quick, flexible way for your business to access a crack business team comprising 18 of your very own non-executive directors, plus Judith Morgan and Nicola Cairncross. As part of the launch of The Boardroom, The Money Gym is offering a 33% discount on the 1st year membership (offer closes midnight 31st October) and Nicola & Judith are hosting a daily BlogTalkRadio show, where they help each business caller work out how to create an extra £10k in just 90 days from their existing business.
Today’s caller on The Money Gym “£10k In 90 Days” Challenge on our BlogTalkRadio show was Karen Jones, an award winning Dance Instructor and Choreographer, who has developed a unique style of teaching latin american dance, for fitness. Check out her website at Live2Dance.co.uk.
Karen has developed fun, unique routines for people wishing to get fit by dancing, ensuring that you can dance alone, rather than with a partner. Think latin american line dancing! She not only runs successful dance classes locally, but regularly gets corporate business nationwide, where companies wish to put on fun fitness events for employees. Corportate business can be worth around £600 for six one-hour sessions.
Karen’s plan is to license exclusive areas to dance instructors so that they can build businesses, with Karen’s help and support. She had sold two licenses so far, at £279 for the license for the area (is that per year Karen or a one off fee?) and then you can buy the Business Support Package for a further £279, and then you pay between £35-50 per month, for access to a membership site that offers further support.
Luckily for Karen, Judith has a wealth of experience, being a partner in www.TheCleaningBiz.com, a successful cleaning company that Judith perfected in Fulham, then licensed on to over 20 different areas so far, supporting each licensee to build their business locally.
Business | What Anais Nin has to teach us about Success by Judith Morgan
by Judith Morgan on October 24, 2009
in Money Gym | Business
Anaïs Nin was a Cuban-Catalan-French author who became famous for her published journals, which span more than 60 years, beginning when she was 11 years old and ending shortly before her death. Nin is also famous for her erotica.
Some will be disappointed I am not addressing her erotica today (!), only what she has to teach us about being successful, being fearful of our own success and hiding our light.
One of Nin’s most famous quotes is “And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom”. I know what she means, do you?
Sometimes it seems easier to restrict oneself, to limit my gorgeousness, to hide my brilliance.
Today what am I hiding from? I am hiding from things which I fear. My fear concerns what other people will think, how they will react. What will they do if I leave them behind when I go to live abroad?
What will happen if I leave projects I have created or co-created?
My timidity is also around how will I be when I am different from what I already know. If I become even wealthier and/or raise my profile, if I accept any single one of the invitations I receive to go on television (the edit of which is outside my control), would I be mis-represented?

Today’s caller on The Money Gym “£10k In 90 Days” Challenge on our BlogTalkRadio show was Rob Heath from http://www.MudHutTravel.com. Rob is passionate about South Africa and has set up a fabulous travel business which he and his partner started last year, but it’s really only just got rolling in the last few months.
Quick bit of background: MudHutTravel.com is all about unique, boutique holidays in South Africa; the website is gorgeous with lots of lovely pictures, and it’s getting about 1200 unique visitors a month, with 400 of those being returning visitors, or 33% – a very good return rate. Some, but we are not sure how many, are coming from a Facebook ads campaign Rob’s been running, spending £200 over the last month.
(Rob can you remind me how many clicks Facebook are reporting for that spend in the last month?)
From 1200 visitors, they are converting 5 into enquiries, a 0.41% visitor/enquiry conversion, which is good and I think it could be improved if they are willing to take phone enquiries, which means making the phone number more obvious. From 5 enquiries, they have converted an impressive 3-4 (or 70%) to sales with the average profit per sale running at around £450.
This means their front-end sale turnover was worth £1575, not counting any extra services or experiences they offer their customers, they are converting 0.29% of their unique visitors to sales, and each unique visitor is worth £1.31.
If their adspend was £200 for x number of clicks from Facebook, they can work out what it cost them to get X number of visitors to the website.
If you know what each unique visitor is worth on the front end, and what it costs you to get each unique visitor there, you can ramp up your adspend, providing you keep a check on conversions holding up at each stage of the process.
This is the first holy grail of most small, start up businesses – to know what your basic statistics are.
However, when I looked at Rob’s website, earlier in the year, drawn by the great domain name, I found it…..
£10k In 90 Days Challenge | Day 1 | Champagne

Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 22:07 — 5.1MB)
The Money Gym has just launched The Boardroom, a way for your business to access a crack business team, 18 of your very own non-executive directors, plus Judith Morgan and Nicola Cairncross. As well as making a very special launch offer of a third off your first year’s membership, Nicola & Judith are hosting a daily radio show, where they help each caller create an extra £10,000 in just 90 days from their existing business.
Today’s caller on The Money Gym “£10k In 90 Days” Challenge on our BlogTalkRadio show was Yvonne Halling with her champagne related business http://www.MadAboutBubbly.com
Quick bit of background: Yvonne’s husband Jiles is an expert on Champagne and among other parts of the business, like corporate champagne tastings, they own a beautiful house in the Champagne region of France which is available for holidays, sleeps 12 and rents for £1500 a week or £125 pp if you have 12, or £250 for the week if you only have 6 of you. Very reasonable and it IS lovely, having been Yvonne & Jiles’ home previously.
Their website is currently being overhauled by Marion Ryan, Money Gym coach and blog/web expert so that’s coming along and looks great. This will give them the flexibility to add / change the site whenever they like and will be very search engined friendly (search engines love blog sites!)
Jiles has written an ebook which is garnering rave reviews, and they are working on a follow up DVD right now. They already have a number of videos on YouTube which I found by searching “mad about bubbly” although their channel is called http://www.youtube.com/user/jileshalling (see below for my comments on improving their branding).
We established on the 15 minute radio show that their fastest route to making “£10k In 90 Days” was to get let their house in Champagne for 7 weeks out of the 12 of the challenge period, and we came up with the idea of an virally marketed, online competition, using Social Networking via Twitter, a Facebook page and ideally joint venture mailings, where people can win a week in the house as a prize.
I also worked out that, if they sold 5-10 ebooks a day, they would make an extra “£10k In 90 Days” especially if they pre-sold the DVD bundled with the ebook, and that I would be looking at a Google Adwords campaign to drive extra traffic to the ebook sales page…….more on this below.
As time was extremely limited on the radio show, we have decided to take the follow up onto the blog here, where I will outline our suggestions, and my proposed plan of action, Judith can contribute, Yvonnne can add her thoughts, and get coached over the next 90 days to make the challenge actually happen!
What fun!

“£100k In 7 Days” Challenge
by NicolaCairncross on January 21, 2009
in Money Gym | Internet
No, it’s not MY challenge, that’s just how to raise £14k in a hurry LOL And thanks for all your suggestions! Very kind! No…..Angela Farrell is a property investor, aspiring speaker on Brett’s Next Level programme and an internet mentoring client of mine and she’s just gone into a house with 4 other entrepreneurs and they are not letting them out till they have raised “£100k in 7 Days”. Man, now that’s a challenge! She’s in there with another Money Gym Gold client, Yvonne Halling and so I’m rallying the MG troops to help them. Not what you know but who you know! Follow them on Twitter here >>>
They have decided that property and the internet give them the best chance of success.I’ve been on the phone to Angela giving them some advice about how to drum up interest in the challenge and quickly spread the word. They want to contact internet marketing and wealth creation guru’s to donate 1 hour of their time for a webinar. I’m being interviewed at 1pm tomorrow and you can find out more, dial in, listen online and listen to the recording afterwards here >>>
1. BLOG – They have a blog at http://ethicalbusinesschallenge.wordpress.com/ so you can follow their progress there…they need to add a plugin that will enable people to Twit about posts (TwitThis) and Digg / StumbleUpon their postings. They need a mailing list signup box too!
2. TWITTER – Next step, set up a Twitter account and link it to the blog and back so yoru twits appear on your blog as you make them and vice versa. I’ve already Twitted about the challenge with a link to the blog, and will carry on doing so in order that my 950 odd followers and Facebook/MySpace accounts feature it.
3. YOUTUBE – Check out any video’s on YouTube around challenges of this sort, make notes of the key words/phrases/tags. Upload their video diaries to YouTube using your keywords and relevent others from the research. This will get your videos shown next to those videos and get you instant traffic.
4. LIVE INTERNET TV – Shame they have no broadband (say what!) or they could have had a 24-hour Ustream.tv show running for the whole week – that would get some traffic going!
Then they will create a product from the interviews and sell it to raise cash – some of which is going to a homeless charity of course.
They are also doing a Robert Allen, where they go out and try and buy property “no money down” and also hook up deals with investors and earn commissions from that. Ideas are flowing and it’s all very cool.
I’ll keep you up to date or pop on over their blog and subscribe to their RSS feed.
Cheers, Nicola
Passive Income – Google Trends Rank Us!
by Nicola Cairncross on May 29, 2008
in Money Gym | Success
When The Money Gym launched it’s first “Passive Income – 90 Day Internet Challenge” and sent out our press release, little did we think that we would trigger a spike in Google Trends tracking of the key phrase “passive income”.
Here’s how we explained it:
“Whilst the coaches at The Money Gym (www.themoneygym.com) are huge believers in the importance of educating ourselves about the various ways of creating wealth, they are equally aware that nothing beats learning by doing. So, they’ve decided to encourage people to just get down and do it with The Money Gym Passive Income Challenge.
Nowadays, we are always hearing about the big bucks that can be made on the internet, millions of dollars/pounds in one day sometimes, and the concept of making money while you sleep is an exciting one — if true. Wouldn’t it be fantastic to sit at home in our pajamas eating left-over Easter eggs, watching Jeremy Kyle on the telly and stopping only briefly to see how many more sales have pinged into our Paypal account?
Just one ebook sale per day @ £20, from one one-page website, would make an extra £7300 a year — enough for a new car or a couple of nice holidays. Two or three ebooks doing the same would make £21,900 — nearly a full time wage. The beauty of the Internet is that you do the work once, and the money keeps coming.
But the reality is that many people end up making a tenner here, twenty quid there, but never get much further.
In contrast, Nicola Cairncross, founder of the Money Gym, has built a six-figure business marketed entirely online and once made £14,000 in one weekend from one mailout. She knows exactly why people run out of steam in the quest for passive income — in her experience would-be internet entrepreneurs often aren’t prepared to focus attention in one place, on one thing, for long enough to make it work.
Nicola suggests focusing on just one thing – one information product, one niche or one passionate interest – and take consistent regular actions that include:
- Creating a web presence — a sales page, a brochure site, a blog. All of them preferably.
- Capturing visitors’ details, encouraging them to subscribe to ezines (online newsletters).
- Turning visitors into raving fans by providing regular, maybe even daily, valuable content.
- Having a system to automate the selling of our product.
- Replicating the process.
As Nicola says, “like creating wealth, making money online is simple but it’s not easy, you have to get off your “assets”, learn new skills and take some action”.
To encourage — or even bully their Money Gym members to success, Nicola and business partner Judith Morgan have decided to set up an Internet Challenge. It’s a three-month personal challenge for anyone who has day-dreamed about creating passive income, or perhaps started but fizzled out along the way.
Anyone can join them for what will be a three-month personal challenge by visiting http://www.TheMoneyGymClub.com and joining the club at Silver Level.
Already people are getting excited about their goals, swapping resources and information…with Nicola on hand to keep everyone focused. And The Money Gym are further incentivising their new Silver members and supporting them in the Challenge by giving them free lifetime access to Nicola’s 12-Step Internet Marketing Home Study Course – which retails for £1450 – and membership of a private email support group. This will provide encouragement, resources and a kick up the backside!
The Money Gym has helped hundreds of people along the road to financial independence (and created millionaires along the way) via their 1:2:1 Money Gym Gold wealth coaching programme. It is a powerful, practical down to earth programme that teaches participants a solid and proven way of creating wealth, with a choice of ways to suit your personality. These could be a choice of, or a combination of high risk, high return investment, solid bricks and mortar, or building a business that you can sell or use to set you up for life”.
So 60 days in, how are the participants getting on? I thought I would ask them to update you here on the blog – which apart from inspiring you all, will give their projects a useful link from a blog now ranking 3/10 on Google Page Rank.
So guys, who is going to be first to step up to the comments box?
Simple But Not Easy – Part I
by Nicola Cairncross on May 1, 2008
in Money Gym | Diaries
Wealth Creation Is Simple But Not Easy!
I had a great conversation with one of my high-achieving internet mentoring clients today, Susanne Jorgensen, of http://www.thesinglesgym.com/ about the oft-repeated concept of “It’s Simple, But Not Easy” – she is really starting to understand what I mean – and I realised that it was so important that it warrants its own article.
I often say to potential Money Gym clients, when out and about speaking, that Wealth Creation is simple but not easy, and what I mean by that is that making money in each of the Four Lanes of the Wealth Highway is really simple to do, but it’s not at all easy or everyone would be doing it!
So why is it so difficult?
We all know intellectually that we have to get off our “assets” and take action but why is that so incredibly hard to do? Because our self esteem, our deepest emotions, our limiting and negative beliefs, our incorrect assumptions get right in the way!
Firstly, there is our cynicism to get over. We really deep down believe that if wealth creation were as simple as everyone makes out, everyone would be doing it and from that we infer that it can’t be true. It’s a con, it’s a cult, it’s just a scam. I was the worst! I often say that my hair and skin have improved enormously since becoming a wealth coach, because I’m not so cynical about better quality beauty products anymore! In the same way that I invest in knowledge I invest in self-care and I now watch the adverts to see what works!
I never imagined before I got into this wealth creation stuff, that becoming a millionaire were so simple. I can remember the relief I felt when Gill Fielding (one of Channel 4’s Secret Millionaires and my first wealth mentor) told me that! She said there is only three ways to make a million (I’ve discovered a fourth since then…) and I thought, great, I can do three things!
Money Gym Internet Challenge

The Money Gym members are throwing down an internet challenge says Money Gym coach Marion Ryan! Nowadays, we are always hearing about the big bucks that can be made on the internet, millions of dollars/pounds in one day sometimes, and the concept of making money while you sleep is an exciting one – if true!
Sitting at home in our jim-jams eating bagels and left-over Easter eggs, watching Jeremy Kyle on the telly and stopping only briefly to see how many more sales have pinged into our Paypal account. Wouldn’t that be nice?
Just one ebook sale per day @ £20, from one one-page website, would make us an extra £7300 a year – enough for a new car or a couple of nice holidays. Two or three ebooks doing the same would make £21,900 – nearly a full time wage. The beauty of the internet is that you do the work once, and the money keeps coming. Imagine if you could spend a month putting up one ebook for sale – by the end of the year, you would be making £87,600 per annum.
There’s a problem though. The reality, for many of us is that we make a tenner here, twenty quid there, but most people never get much further than that in our pursuit of passive income.
Founder of The Money Gym Nicola Cairncross, who has built a six-figure business marketed entirely online, and who once made £14,000 in one weekend from one email, tells us she knows exactly why that is:
* We aren’t prepared to focus our attention in one place, on one thing, for long enough to make it work.
Nicola says if we just focus on one thing – one information product, one niche or one passionate interest – and take consistent regular action we can make ourselves some passive income online, and having done it once, can replicate those results over and over. This action would include
* Creating a web presence – a sales page, a brochure site, a blog. All of them preferably
* Capturing visitors’ details, encouraging them to subscribe to ezines (online newsletters)
* Turning them into raving fans by providing regular, maybe even daily, valuable content
* Having a system to automate the selling of our product till we make a profit
* Replicating the process.
As Nicola says, “like creating wealth, making money online is simple but it’s not easy, you have to get off your “assets”, learn new skills and take some action”.
To encourage – or even bully! their Money Gym members, to success, Nicola and Judith, her partner, have decided to set up an Internet Challenge for any of us who are sick of diddling about in this “Wealth Highway Lane” on a rusty old bike with a punctured tyre and broken bell and would like to trade up to a moped, a Harley or a Porsche. Something that will always need a bit of maintenance and some petrol but then just watch it go…
The Money Gym are incentivising their new Silver members and supporting them in the Challenge by giving them free lifetime access to Nicola’s 12-Step Internet Marketing Home Study Course – which retails for £1450 – and membership of a private email support group. This will provide encouragement, resources and a kick up the backside!
Your investment £27.50 a month (minimum one year), your return will be the support and knowledge to create a passive income online for life.
So if you’d like to join us for a three-month personal challenge to up the stakes on our internet passive income game then you should visit http://www.TheMoneyGymClub.com and join the club at Silver Level using the promotional code InternetChallenge.
Then, join the private Google group and do a search for “internet challenge” and you can read all the back discussions and get involved right now!
