The Money Gym has just launched The Boardroom, an easy, quick, flexible way for your business to access a crack business team comprising 18 of your very own non-executive directors, plus Judith Morgan and Nicola Cairncross. As part of the launch of The Boardroom, The Money Gym is offering a 33% discount on the 1st year membership (offer closes midnight 31st October) and Nicola & Judith are hosting a daily BlogTalkRadio show, where they help each business caller work out how to create an extra £10k in just 90 days from their existing business.
Today’s caller on The Money Gym “£10k In 90 Days” Challenge on our BlogTalkRadio show was Rob Heath from http://www.MudHutTravel.com. Rob is passionate about South Africa and has set up a fabulous travel business which he and his partner started last year, but it’s really only just got rolling in the last few months.
Quick bit of background: MudHutTravel.com is all about unique, boutique holidays in South Africa; the website is gorgeous with lots of lovely pictures, and it’s getting about 1200 unique visitors a month, with 400 of those being returning visitors, or 33% – a very good return rate. Some, but we are not sure how many, are coming from a Facebook ads campaign Rob’s been running, spending £200 over the last month.
(Rob can you remind me how many clicks Facebook are reporting for that spend in the last month?)
From 1200 visitors, they are converting 5 into enquiries, a 0.41% visitor/enquiry conversion, which is good and I think it could be improved if they are willing to take phone enquiries, which means making the phone number more obvious. From 5 enquiries, they have converted an impressive 3-4 (or 70%) to sales with the average profit per sale running at around £450.
This means their front-end sale turnover was worth £1575, not counting any extra services or experiences they offer their customers, they are converting 0.29% of their unique visitors to sales, and each unique visitor is worth £1.31.
If their adspend was £200 for x number of clicks from Facebook, they can work out what it cost them to get X number of visitors to the website.
If you know what each unique visitor is worth on the front end, and what it costs you to get each unique visitor there, you can ramp up your adspend, providing you keep a check on conversions holding up at each stage of the process.
This is the first holy grail of most small, start up businesses – to know what your basic statistics are.
However, when I looked at Rob’s website, earlier in the year, drawn by the great domain name, I found it…..
2010 At Money Gym Towers
by Judith Morgan on June 13, 2009
in Money Gym | Business
This week we thought we would share some ideas with you, with which we are playing here at Money Gym Towers.
Both Nicola and I are rampant Creators and need to have new things to be working on all the time and here are just a handful of the best ones which are swirling round our world at the moment.
- More books. Nicola wants to re-write her current seminal work on Wealth Creation mainly to update it and her publisher wants her to write one about retiring young. We are clearing the decks for both of those activities to happen across the summer and go on to develop a whole series of books in the next couple of years or so. We want to have that series ready for when we are picked up by a mainstream publisher.
- I want to write a companion book to the original MG book called”How I Did It” and to tell my own story + that of MG clients who have takenany of the MG teachings and put them into demonstrable action. What we want is to show quantifiable results but also to give a workplan for those who like to be told specifically what to do. You don’t have to be financially free yet, but if you have anything you’d like included in this book in order to help and inspire others, do please let me know. I will be calling for contributors very soon, watch your inbox.
- A printed newsletter. By Spring of 2010 we want to be producing a regular paid-for monthly offline newsletter which is mailed to clients who opt-in. This will be like a magazine with photos, content, columns, contributions, articles, adverts, stories, agony aunt, how to, seasonal content, seminar reports, client showcase, networking updates and more. Stand by as we would love to have a lot of involving client content in this one. The paid-for newsletter will be free to certain client levels as yet to be decided, probably Silver and above.
- MoneyGymHolidays - a website which brings together all the second and holiday homes of MG clients which are available to let at special prices within our community or available for swap in return for pet sitting etc.
- Software – Nicola has long had an idea for a software product, now we are storming ahead to produce this with one of our techier clients.
- We intend to stage another wealth conference in the second half of June 2010 – working title The Big One. I’m looking for a suitable venue near Gatwick with residential accommodation for up to 200 delegates, so if you know a nice one, please let me know.
- We are experimenting with moving from Cashflow evenings to aCashflow day. We would like to be able to run two games on a Saturday with a networking lunch in the middle. A date for your diary, the first one is confirmed for Saturday 14th November and we need one more facilitator so we can run 6 games x 6 people and serve 36 clients, 42 including the six facilitators – volunteers so far Matthew Green, Jo & Simon Dodds, Niki Duffy, thank you for stepping up.
- We need a new URL for the Internet Home Study Course - if you can find a domain name which works and is free incorporating the words internet, marketing, business and tools – or another one which is keyword rich and says the same thing, we will find you a valuable prize. It’s quite a brain teaser, I’ve been at it for a while and the best I can come up with is WakeUpToTheWeb.com which, you will notice, has none of the keywords in it!
- We need a guinea pig to volunteer to help us with a specialproject. I am aware that, for newbies, our web pages can be some what impenetrable, especially if you are new to the site and trying to find out how to join. If that describes you and you have gone away frustratedunable to work out how to join us, would you volunteer to help us with the customer journey so we can make it even easier for clients to work with us? We need fresh eyes.
- Coach Annie has taken ownership of the upcoming Let’s Talk Money Day in September with some content she feels very strongly about and we have asked Margaret, Marion and Philly if they would like to do the same in 2010. The coaches work very closely with our clients and know first-hand what they find tricky. So we want to bring forth their talent and personal content in days which we know have to have an important element of community feel whilst offering something which makes your wealth creation journey ever easier.
- We are on the lookout for people to help us grow the business someone to help us run our events, someone who can edit raw film, an affiliate manager on a JV basis and an editor for the print magazine. If anyone of those roles sounds like you or someone you know, do get in touch. Meanwhile we are drawing up job descriptions and profiles.
- Finally, we are going to create a very exclusive club for our Top 20 clients only. You will need to have been a Silver Elite, Gold or Platinum client already or be able to demonstrate serious results with your wealth creation journey so far. If you are ready to step up to the next level for some serious mentoring by Nicola and me, do let me know and we will keep you abreast of developments and perhaps even craft something around what would be useful for you personally. This will be a closed and exclusive Mastermind Think Tank group, carry a hefty price tag and once in, you will keep your seat until you decide to step down for whatever reason. We will run a waiting list of those wanting your seat.
But meanwhile, please, any and all thoughts about the above to judith@themoneygym.com.

I keep uncovering little gems as people are still uploading videos from the Internet Marketer’s Cruise 2009. And it was great fun….

Money Gym Silver – How To Make Irresistible?
by NicolaCairncross on August 19, 2008
in Money Gym | Diaries
Okay, so I’m starting to think about the re-launch of The Money Gym Club – Silver Membership.
I’ve got a 7-8 week time frame and some great ideas about how to add massive value and make it irresistible – which it patently isn’t yet. We currently bundle Silver Membership on the ebook sale, and about 90% of people stay past the first month and most of those stay on past months one and two – so it’s good, but not irresistible.
Bit of background….Due to massive issues with the techie bits of the site, our first launch in May 2007 rather ran out of steam in the effort to get it all working right. I won’t go into it but there were SO MANY fundamentals that were not in place, despite early promises, that we rather lost momentum and enthusiasm for it, in the monster effort to get it just doing what it was supposed to.
We have ironed out issue after issue and now it’s all working, and is an awesome content management system, we are now looking at how to make it better. Steve has already made it much more intuitive to navigate and we have some more plans to make it better.
- Creating camtasia videos to show people all the great elements of the site (gotta great twist for this too – thanks to Frank Kern!)
- Completely re-doing the Internet Marketing Home Study System to bring it bang up to date with Web 2.0 – and then to give it away with Silver Membership
- Finding a way to breathe life into the Forums, which suffer from the popularity of our private Google Group
- Revamping our “Let’s Talk Money” days to be more live wealth coaching orientated and including….say two ( ? ) of those days with Silver
- Giving away entry to say……three of our popular “Money Gym Presents…..” experts days
I also want to integrate all the payments into our shopping cart so that we can re-launch our Affiliate Programme. Then folks can earn commission from the ebook, the ebook/paperback bundle, recurrring commissions from The Money Gym Club – Silver Membership and Money Gym Gold – all from one place!
This in turn should make us more attractive to affiliates and joint venture partners, and I’ve got some brilliant networking opportunities coming up, with the World Internet Summit UK (watch this space, lovely reader as I have a GREAT offer coming for you on that, so don’t book yet….), getting to know Tim Brocklehurst with his 1000 strong team of Viral Spirallers, and the Money Gym / Internet Marketing Cruise in January. With Paulie Sabol, Mike Filsaime, Jenny Armato, Joel Comm and all those peeps I haven’t even met yet….should be some joint venture possibilities there hopefully.
But still the search goes on to highlight our unique position in the Wealth Creation Education marketplace, and to make Silver Membership ABSOLUTELY IRRESTISTIBLE!!
Any ideas as to what you would like to see? Just hit the comments link at the bottom of this post – help me out and TELL ME what you want, what you really, really want!
Cheers, Nicola

Wealth Coach Diaries: Nicola’s Week
by Nicola Cairncross on June 30, 2008
in Money Gym | Diaries
This has been an AMAZING couple of weeks for lots of different reasons. It’s been so busy that, not only have I not had time to play with my new sewing machine, but, for only the second time this last year, I was unable to write the ezine!!
My twitterings kept the blog updated and my Twits also fed out to my Facebook and MySpace profile. The blog being updated by Twitter also fed out to my Hubpages and Ecademy, so all major social networking went on as normal.
The weekend before last saw the “Money Gym Presents…Property” with the ever popular property multi-squillionaire and all round good bloke, Greg Ballard, holding forth about property investment and the property market in general – dynamite stuff as ever. Judith and I updated everyone on our Rent2Own exploits and the band of merry Money Gym rent2own devotees grows and grows – David Lee, what have you started?

Later in the day, my old matie from Las Vegas and Sussex, Maria Davies, came to show us how we could buy a luxury villa in the Caribbean for just £1000, and invited us to one of her open evenings. I’ve never been very keen on overseas investing, but the combination of luxury, Caribbean, and Maria buying TWO herself (she ain’t no property fool!) has got me very very interested. It’s an income strategy after the first four years too, with demand for Caribbean holidays growing and growing all time. Maria has another fr*ee Open Evening coming up in London and you can book your place and find out more here at
http://www.caribbean5starinvestments.co.uk
Talking of Caribbean holidays, I’m hoping that our Money Gym Wealth Creation & Internet Marketers Cruise (with Mike Filsaime) in January will take us to a couple of the islands that Maria’s lot are building on, so I can have a look while I’m out there! Just £500 per person for eight nights, the return flights to Miami are £400, so it’s a dirt cheap holiday in the sun. There are six Money Gym allocated cabins left (and there are some that hold three so bring the kids even if you are a single parent – they will be well looked after in the kid’s club) so secure your cabin (and all the extra Money Gym goodies) here at http://www.TheMoneyGym.com/holidays
Then……….felt really sick with a 24 hour bug on Thursday but recovered in time for Tim Brocklehurst’s Freedom Class weekend on Saturday/Sunday/Monday. This was an intensive three day workshop where he taught us how to use the amazing Viral Spiral system to grow our lists virally. We were amazed by the incredible and inspirational Ange Wayne, and some of the othere excellent speakers included ever exuberant marketing maverick Alan Forrest-Smith and Martin Avis, who gave a great presentation on how to build excellent relationship with your subscribers.
By the end of the three days, we walked out with a turnkey online business, although some of us were not sure how we did it! Brillaint “over shoulder” back up from Matt Garrett and Rob O’Callaghan
We stayed at the TOTALLY FABULOUS Hoxton Hotel in Great Eastern Road I think it was, and while it only cost about £97 per room per night, I was blown away by the rooms, the bathrooms, the funky lounge, bar and restaurant, the hot and trendy guests/locals, the live dj’s on Friday and Saturday, but the best thing by far was the staff. They were not just helpful, can-do and smiling, they positively beamed fun and job satisfaction. You just can’t bottle that – if you could, service in this country would be an amazing thing. See http://www.TheMoneyGym.tv over the coming week for some videos….very funny when I caught Marcus De Maria at 8am, who was hosting a workshop at the same venue.
I talked to the Bar/Restaurant Manager – Richard Moul who was frighteningly young and energetic (and a real whisky expert!) to find out what his recruitment policy was, only to find that he recruits for attitude and personality and then whips them into shape after. It only bloomin’ works. We had some fantastic customer service experiences there and I will be staying there as much as possible in future even if I have to get taxis about to my workshops and meetings.
The Freedom Class was amazing – what can I say? Many many thanks to Tim Brocklehurst for his patience, his organisation, laying on of three great speakers – one of whom Ange Wayne, Change Strategist, flew over from Australia especially. She was amazing, Alan Forrest Smith was on fire! Martin Avis was wonderful on how to build a great relationship with your virally fuelled list (it was great to meet him properly at last) and one other who has asked not to be mentioned for her own reasons.
Genius move, putting Ange on, on the first day, as we were struggling a bit and she talked in a compelling, almost hypnotic way, about success, choice and responsibility. Tragic that Steve missed that bit as he was carted off to A&E when his heart went into Atrial Fibrillation – they kept him in overnight at the Royal London, but he still managed to win the challenge on the Monday, having done so much homework beforehand.
Luckily Tim had a camera crew on hand, so Steve can catch Ange on the DVD’s. You can find out more about her at http://www.AngelChange.com – a play on her name (it’s not all about angels, phew!) and her home AND office is based in Angel Place Building too! Amazing speaker, awesome.
From Tim’s mailing for Steve (his prize) Steve has gained over 250 new signups and his blog and first email has attracted a new client already – someone who owns a Champagne business – NICE!
I’m so thrilled because I managed to come home, take one of my articles and turn it into a rebrandable free report, working through the process. From putting up my free report in three places so far, I’ve picked up 10 new double opted in subscribers today already and it’s only lunchtime. That’s amazing.
I’m also thrilled because I have created my first ever Facebook application. I was making a Blidget (widget for folks to feature the Money Gym blog on their websites) and it offered me the option to make a Facebook application out of my Blidget. Of course I clicked yes, and was walked through several stages to create my app. Now, if you don’t realise how exciting this is, just think about how viral this could go. If even half my 447 (as of today) friends feature the Money Gym app on their profiles, and half of their say….50 friends like what they see and feature it….that’s our blog on 5587 profiles….man, that’s powerful.
My brain was FRIED after all that techie, detail stuff, but I still managed to make it to my Monday Night Poker Game at the Crown & Anchor in Shoreham. On Tuesday I took it easy and fixed Head Chef, Andy Quinn’s laptop for him (well, Steve did) and set up a Facebook group for the Crown & Anchor, whose new website is taking ages!
Had coffee with one of my poker buddies, Paul Stanford from 4Momentum on Tuesday, he’s a business consultant and we talked about how to take The Money Gym to seven figures from six, and how to get him blogging and how to wrest control of his website and hosting from the current designers who want to charge him for every little thing and won’t give him access to his own CPanel.
Kids off school today (yet another Insect Day!) and off to play poker live again tonight, private game, first invite so honoured and a fixed buy in, for those of you who are worried about a wealth coach apparently gambling. My Monday nights cost me £12 and inclued dinner, for heaven’s sake. It’s cheaper than the pictures.
When this ezine is written, I’m off to check my property messages and see if the deal that fell out of bed due to a solicitor offering business and not legal advice, has come back on. The vendor turned out to be someone who used to work for me at The Acacia, as a maid! How small is this world really?
Have fun, I will be when I slow down!

Holiday With Nicola?

I’m really really excited to bring you some very special news! If you want an example of “Attraction In Action” read on and be AMAZED!
You may not know it, but I’ve been wanting to get a holiday for ages, but what with having to move house a few times in the last couple of years, and Steve, Judith and me working our butts off (in a fun way!) on The Money Gym…..apart from a weekend in Pisa & Florence, Italy, it just hasn’t happened.
But that hasn’t stopped me thinking about it and dreaming about what kind of a holiday I would like….and with all the different ages and interests in this house, let me tell you it would be tricky to find anything that suited all. Our requirements for any dream holiday seemed impossible but include ….
1. Loads for the kids to do (suiting both a 10 year old and a 13 year old going on 16.)
2. Loads of stuff for me to do / learn – I get bored lying by a pool or on a beach all day
3. Space for us all to get away from each other
4. Lots of sun and fabulous places to visit
5. Easy to get to from Shoreham By Sea – plane ideally!
6. All inclusive – no cooking or cleaning
7. No driving
8. Great nightlifeWell, I had concluded that a cruise might be just the ticket and I had thought, well, if you are gonna cruise at all, the Caribbean is the place to go, eh? But it still seemed so far away…daunting stuff really…
| Attraction In Action!! |
Then, talk about the POWER OF ATTRACTION!! I had almost given up the whole idea when blow me down, if an email from Mike Filsaime, one of my very favourite internet marketers, didn’t arrive, solving ALL my holiday woes.
