A Wealth Creation Dream Come True

This week a long time wealth creation dream of mine came true….but before I tell you about that, I’ll tell you about my mad exciting week first!

Last Tuesday it was my boy Nelson’s 12th birthday so he, Phoebe and I went to Brighton to their favourite restaurant, Yo! Sushi, where they got through frightening amounts of….you guessed it, sushi, then we all went to see “Fame – The Movie”

kidsandyosushi A Wealth Creation Dream Come True

This was great not only because I love all that singing and dancing “luvvie” stuff, but because the graduation ceremony gave me the best quotes on success I’ve come across for a while, but how to get hold of it?

I scoured YouTube but the film is too new for it to be up there yet, so I sent out a few tweets and an email to our Money Gym Google groups. It took a couple of days but Carrie Eddins emailed the speech back for me to use in my presentation on success on the “Really Useful Internet Day”

When I thanked her, thinking she must have had it downloaded or something, she said”I walked past the cinema, and thought..if  it ‘s screened when I walk past then I will watch it again.. and it was. I watched it missed a bit and then it was immediately screened again!! It was fun in the end!!”

Wow, thanks again Carrie, that’s helpfulness above and beyond the call of duty!  Our google group and the people in it, is amazing.  Just think, if that’s the Silver level group support, imagine what the Money Gym Boardroom google group will be able to do for YOUR business!

Karen, Co-Incidence & More Fun At The Crown & Anchor

Well I came third in our Friday night social evening game of Texas “No Limits” Hold’em last week so I was very happpy.  It was a great fun evening too, with the chill con carne and pizza going down well, and masses left for Saturday night’s X-Factor first week of Bootcamp gathering. And down to the final tables both games on Monday at the Crown & Anchor, third in the cash game – £12.50 which covered my night’s entertainment and dinner LOL.

Tickets are selling steadily and well for the “Really Useful Internet Day” next Saturday – yes! that’s right, only 8 days to go now, as I write this on Friday 2nd October.  OUr gang have had a good crack at the tickets in advance, and several of my internet marketing buddies are mailing over the weekend, including @NeilAsher and @MarkAnastasi, thanks guys!

Neil’s done an interesting promotion, where he gives value to his mailinig list by analysing my sales page, and that of another mate of his at the same time, highlighting the bits that stand out and how different styles work for different markets.  Here is what he sent to his list

Going, Going Speedily & A Full House In More Ways Than One!

fullhouse Going, Going Speedily & A Full House In More Ways Than One!Since our Internet Day last year, and the wildly successful Property Extravagaza, we are really getting a great reputation for our events and every time we announce one, it’s getting easier and easier to fill the room.  I was reading through the great testimonials from last time, prior to putting them on the page, and I was moved beyond belief by some of the comments.  I love our community!

We’ve still got two weeks to go and we have just opened the bookings to our main mailing list and we have only got just over 100 tickets left – a third have gone already.  Martin has mentioned it a couple of times in his ezine, but Brett hasn’t mailed yet, or our joint venture partners, so I’m very confident we are going to sell out well before the 10th Oct.

If you don’t want to take any chances, here’s the link to the booking page >>

The other big news this week is that I’ve committed to a date for delivery to Debs & Joe at Bookshaker for the next Money Gym book.  I’ve been planning and starting to write this over the last couple of weeks and I’m REALLY REALLY excited and inspired about this…I never knew I had another one in me.  I’ve also been going through the existing Money Gym book and bringing it up to date, also adding brand new property and internet chapters.  I’m finding that a bit of editing / updating on the old one, inspires me to write more in the new one.

Key Success Secrets – Part 1 | Introduction

by Nicola Cairncross on September 12, 2009
in Money Gym | Success

keytosuccess Key Success Secrets Part 1 | IntroductionIn the early days of my wealth coaching career, I was always very focused on the practical, the down to earth, the “how-to” of becoming wealthy.  I’d read all the books out there on the market on the principles of wealth creation, becoming rich, the power of belief and focus, attraction principles and I was angry and frustrated!

Because none of them told you how to make money!  None of them laid out a step by step plan of  HOW TO ACTUALLY DO IT!

So my first book The Money Gym – which started as an email programme, I was not arrogant enough to think I had a book in me – was written out of that frustration;  I wanted to give you a step by step, logical plan for how to make money and even become rich.

I wrote it as I wanted it, simple, easy to understand, with pictures.  I tried to include (and credit) the best bits of all I had read or heard, from Robert Kiyosaki to Napoleon Hill, from Steven Covey to Mary Hunt, from Gill Fielding to Robert G. Allen, especially where it was helping me and making a positive difference to the way I thought and particularly to the way I acted.

Losing, Loving, Laughing & Life!

It’s been a week at home, this week, settling back into school routine, getting used to the grey skies, trying to decide if I want to stay here and try and buy this house, or move into Shoreham or Brighton to something brighter and newer.  Feeling restless…..but happier than recently as it’s been sunnier in Shoreham.

We’ve been gearing up for the Money Gym “Really Useful Internet Day” on 10th October and I’ve been starting to plan the marketing campaign for that which will take place over the next four weeks and will hopefully fill the room.

Because even an event with a ticket price of £25, all of which we are donating to our favourite Money Gym charity “The Big Issue” (helping the homeless help themselves), takes a full on marketing campaign to ensure it’s success.

Exciting Things Planned For Autumn 2009 At The Money Gym

Well, it’s Autumn and the kids went back to school on Friday – they loved it!  You can only enjoy so much “hanging abaht” doing nothing apparently!

After a week or so of feeling really quite down, mainly due to the weather, I’m perking up a bit and looking forward to the speaking gigs and exciting projects I have to work on.  Steve creating me a new and very gorgeous looking blog has helped – so thanks Steve!

If you are feeling like you want a new start on your wealth creation, like the kids have a new term, then here’s an overview of and exciting Autumn at The Money Gym.

Silver, Quicksilver, Silver Elite and The Story Of How It All Began!

This week we have taken a massive leap forward with one of our interim products – designed to fit between Silver and Gold and enhance Silver membership by getting you off to a flying start in the first weeks of your Silver Membership.

We know that people join things with the best intentions of making them work, but then life just gets in the way, so we have created a goal setting and action orientated 12 week coaching programme called Silver Elite.  Working initially with Judith and me, you will come up to speed on how to use our new membership site, you will set some goals for the 12 weeks/90 days, and then be walked through the programme week by week, by online video, and join us for a weekly coaching call, where we will set homework to get you moving.  Judith is the master at running these group coaching programmes and I’m only interested in working with people who want to take action.  No “haven’t done anything this week because…..” excuses in this programme, oh no!

The first invited participants will be those who have been fully paid up members of Silver for three months or more, as of the end of March, or those generous souls who supported our Property Extravaganza by buying multi-tickets.

Then we will probably run the first open programme in September for anyone who wants to play.

The second of our interim new products will be called Money Gym Quicksilver, and will be everything we have, in a box.  Physical product, oh yes!  Bit of a job to pull it all together but I’m working on it – we have SO MUCH CONTENT.  This will be for those who want to rock through Silver in no time flat, rather than waiting for the month by month sequential delivery of the content that the usual Silver programme will enable.  I will also sell it from the stage when I speak, as the audiences at most of the gigs I’ve been doing recently can really relate to CD’s, DVD’s and workbooks.  We have some lovely extras planned for the QuickSilver box too – surprises!

I see these two working very much in conjunction with each other, and with the existing Silver membership, and will help to move folks on, from the ebook, getting them started with our support on their wealth creation activities, with a view to moving onto Gold, to work with a coach one-to-one.  The investment in both will be right smack bang between Silver and Gold and instalments will be available of course.

We are now starting to move all the existing paying members of http://www.themoneygymclub.com over to http://www.themoneygym.com/blog where all the content is now complete and ready to access in the same way.  If you have not had an email from Steve about this, can you contact him with your name, email address and your membership level.

ricktalking Silver, Quicksilver, Silver Elite and The Story Of How It All Began!

I’m off to the Rick Otton two-day bootcamp in London’s Earls Court this weekend, with Judith, and I’m really looking forward to it.  Around 35 Money Gym bods will be there and Rick’s high energy style will make it a fun two days.

I need to get some advice about my ads, as my little ad in the Worthing Herald just isn’t cuttin it, although it brought in quite a few enquiries from motivated sellers last year.  I’m experimenting with Google Adwords and a mighty £2 a day budget, but I just can’t seem to get the traffic!  Trying an InfoMillionaire trick now, that replaces the first line of my Adwords Ad with whatever the searcher typed in.  I’ll keep you updated on progress.

Really need to do some flyering in Worthing and Shoreham, which would involve 37,000 leaflets and cost over £300, perhaps I should buddy up with another business to do this?  I want to get some feedback from the weekend about which flyers are working already though.

Having said all that, apparently people are struggling suddenly to find sellers motivated enough to do “below market value” deals and that seems to be because of two factors:

  1. Mortgages are at an all time low in terms of monthly costs – Judith’s just been told that one of her’s has dropped to £0.08 a month – yes you read that right!  Interest only mortgages are on the floor and if you have been listening to the Money Gym about swapping to an interest only mortgage, and not locking yourself into a fixed rate for too long if you are an investor….. you will be getting letters like Judith’s hopefully!
  2. Many investors are starting to come back into the market, often with cash to buy so bypassing the need for a mortgage, figuring that it’s bottoming out now.  Even my best friend’s boyfriend is starting to look around now and he’s been very pessimistic for ages about prices going lower.  He wants a flat in South London for around £250,000 if you have one, by the way!

So Rent2Own is a great second strategy for property investors, as it enables them to buy those properties where the owner is unable to drop the price, but is desperate to move on and get on with their life.

nicolatalking Silver, Quicksilver, Silver Elite and The Story Of How It All Began!

I’ve just been watching my “Quick 10 Minutes” from the stage at the Property Extravaganza (and having a little boo again at what a wonderful day it was).  I’ve just bounced into Steve’s room saying “we must put this video on the page where folks can get a trial membership of Silver for 30 days!” as it just sums it all up really.

You can watch it here

And then join Money Gym Silver here

For just £27.50 a month and lock that membership in at that investment – I’m not kidding in the video, we ARE putting the membership up at some point in the not too distant future.

Have fun, we always do.

Philosophy, Felines & Becoming A Footballer’s Wife

On Friday 13th I wrote my usual brilliant “Note From Nicola” (*grin*) and then had a big problem with my new laptop, which Steve tried to fix, and in the process, my NfromN was deleted completely.  Now anyone who blogs, comments on blogs, writes anything at all, will know how heart-breaking that is.  As I was off to speak for “Recession Free Seminars” and “Build Your Wealth” at the weekend, I had to leave it (just WALK AWAY from the computer) and try again today.

Being of a philosophical but obviously non-woo-woo nature, I’m reflecting today that it was meant to happen.

Because if it hadn’t, I wouldn’t have been able to tell you about the biggest thing to happen to personal development blogging, yet.  A new site has launched and if I told you that a new best-selling author has been born, I wouldn’t be exaggerating.  If you loved “Wife In The North” and the rather risque “Belle De Jour” blogs, then you will love this…..Ta da!

cat Philosophy, Felines & Becoming A Footballers Wife

Danny The Guru Cat is a jaded, cynical, slightly scary cat, whose owner Graham Wendes (aka Softboy) has empowered Danny to share his thoughts on life, love, the universe and everthing.  Danny has a half-sister called Winnie who is dispensing the softer element of the blog, in her “Ask Winnie” section, but don’t be surprised if it’s Danny who answers the questions!

Now, I’m the least soppy person about pets you can imagine, having taken back to the shop our Cockatiel called Elvis because it was too damn noisy, it’s a miracle our five goldfish are still alive, so blogs by animals leave me cold usually….

But because I’ve been experiencing the power, wit, vulnerablity, tough love and wisdom of Danny The Guru Cat via our private Money Gym Google Group for a while now, I’ve been looking forward to his writing debut and it doesnt’ disappoint.

Check it out for yourself and subscribe to the RSS feed by email if you like it.  We have to keep Danny blogging!

phoebe1 1 Philosophy, Felines & Becoming A Footballers WifeFriday 13th was also Red Nose Day, which necessitated Phoebe creating a striking red outfit to wear to school in honour.  Now she says she’s too shy to go on the stage but if this isn’t a star profile outfit I don’t know what is!

We boo’ed and donated our way through the evening and the highlight for me was David Beckham’s face as he tried not to laugh at the dressing down the England team got from actor James Corden, Smithy from Gavin & Stacey.  Watch it here >>>

What a good looking lot those England boys scrub up to be eh?  I can almost see the appeal of being a footballer’s wife now, LOL.

So, two speaking gigs in one day, this last weekend, now that’s what I call time management.  I experienced one of those rare moments of pure happiness on the train, whooshing through the sunset listening to Nu Yorican Soul and twittering from my new Blackberry.

Then I arrived at one of the hotels the organisers had mentioned, only to find it was not only not a 4* or 5*, but it was about a 1* rating.  My heart sank and I nearly got back in the taxi again.  I was hoping to hook up with a load of the speakers and delegates but there was NO WAY they would be staying here.  Serves me right for not doing more research!  No bar, no restaurant……..However when I got into the room (with a KEY!!) I found it was relentlessly 80′s decor but spotlessly clean, warm and very comfortable so I went for it.  No internet connection working so I was forced to wander out onto Esher High Street where I found a good selection of restaurants including a Carluccio’s (Judith, make a note for when you get stuck in Esher!).  Very posh and couple-y though….

hotel 1 Philosophy, Felines & Becoming A Footballers WifeSo I thought I would pop into the rather nice looking gastro pub next door for a drink first as it was still early, and then Alan, who was marketing the gig, rang me back and told me that they were staying at the Hilton up the road (of course they were!) but they were going to the promoter’s house, for a curry with some of the speakers, and would I like to come.  O yes!  Into a taxi to Weybridge, through a security gate, round a very, very nice private estate and up to the front door of a house that was just jaw-droppingly beautiful.  Saved!  A very nice evening with some great company, accompanied by a VERY good curry from the No #1 all-natural-ingredients curry house in the UK apparently.  Loads of property investors from Cyprus there too!

I woke up at 6.30 to a sunshine filled bedroom and breakfast in a sunny dining room helped a lot too!  A totally empty Sandown Park Racecourse was an interesting venue and the balcony overlooked the sunny and beautiful “Owners Enclosure” which reminded me of our outing to Brighton Races last year (my first time).

While I was wondering if I could get the energy levels up sufficiently for the second, I found it easier than I thought!  However, I was a bit thrown to find, while sitting on Esher train station, that @Paul_Elliott who comperes at Build Your Wealth, was twittering that he was listening to Topher Morrisson…..and I suddenly realised that this might mean I was on stage next!

Do you know Topher?  I haven’t heard him speak before but all our Money Gym gang rave about him and he’s an NLP expert and supposed to be a very charismatic speaker (so the last thing I wanted to do was go on right after him!)

However I duly arrived at the venue, was slightly thrown to find Warren Borjse hanging out behind the registration desk (isn’t he supposed to be in Australia?!!) and the lovely Gary Vurnum hanging out at the back of the hall (just for fun apparently!!) and yes, Topher on stage, doing his charismatic thing!  I see why everyone raves about him now, he’s great!

Eeek.

Then I spotted some Money Gym gang in the throng, Karen from TimeBomb T-Shirts & Online Rock School and Matthew Green who has been to some of our Cashflow Games.

Always nice to know that you have some supporters in the audience, so I took some deep breaths, reminded myself to just be authentic and me, and go for it.  And I did a good job, better on the second gig than the first I think.  Karen supported me wonderfully, she’s a star/creator profile for sure.

Nice to connect with Gary, Daniel Priestly (and able to hook him up with some potential business), Paul Elliott, Warren again but from a speaking/selling point of view, both gigs were only moderately successful, even though I got a good reaction, as the audience are really unbelievably un-clued up about the internet……….although half put their hands up to being self employed or having a business, out of 200 odd, only about 4-5 put their hand up to having a website, or knowing what a blog was, so I’ve got to re-think what I’m presenting to that kind of audience.  Membership sites are great but they are just too advanced, in my opinion, for the “starter” wealth creation crowd. Only two people who had heard of Twitter for heaven’s sake and both of those were our Money Gym two.

We need to advance our plans for the Money Gym “Money Box” product and fast!

But first it’s our big day on Saturday……….the Property Extravaganza.  Only about 40 – 50 tickest left now ….. and every time I click “send and receive” another 5-10 or so have gone.

This is going to be one of the biggest days in this year’s property calender….anyone who came to the Brett McFall weekend knows the atmosphere we get when 200-odd Money Gym maniacs get in the room together.  For a whole day, the recession and credit crunch will be forgotten, as folks connnect, re-connect, find out how they are making money in spite of the doom and gloom, and generally have a great time.

You really can’t afford to miss it – and you will be helping us help the Big Issue, help the homeless help themselves.

C’mon, you know you want to.

If not, have fun, we always do.

37 Reasons | The Good News About Property – Part #5

Day Five in my series of 37 Reasons why you should attend our Money GymProperty Extravanganza on Saturday 21st March 2009, in Central London, in aid of The Big Issue homeless charity. A little recap first…

Day One – 8 reasons all about inspiration

Day Two – 7 financial reasons

Day Three – 5 incentive reasons (bribes)

Day Four – 10 reasons about opportunity

Total so far 30, so only 7 to go then…

Day Five – 3 Educational Reasons:

1. Find out what a SIPP is, how it’s about one thousand per cent more interesting than it sounds, how it’s not perhaps the easiest of things to understand but how when you discover what it can do for you and the tax breaks lurking inside, how very much you will want one. Meet Roger, the man I have found to teach us about SIPPS and how we can use them to invest in commercial property in the UK and overseas.

Discover how to convert those little bits of funds sitting in old pensions into a meaningful financial instrument you can use to take control of  your finances in invest in something without using your own money. Take the power back from the under-performing City fund manager and have some fun with it – learn to enjoy creating your own pension, often within 10 years or less.

2. Learn something new or be reminded of something you know already but haven’t auctioned yet. And remember what Nicola says (and, I think, Roger Hamilton too) “to know and not yet to do is not yet to know”. Convert your “I know” into “I am”.

3. Stop the rot of any investing errors you have may have made and learn how to survive and thrive. Speaking personally, I am living proof that this is possible and fun! Its never too late to start to implement a new strategy which will turn your negatives into positives.

Look out for my remaining tiny handful of reasons to be cheerful about property.

Until tomorrow…

37 Reasons | The Good News About Property – Part #4

Day Four in my Series 37 Reasons to attend our Money Gym Property event on 21/3/09 in Central London.

Only 80 tickets left, that’s 40 really as most of you are buying x2 to get the 90 day trial of The Money Gym Silver Level for free!

This is generally accepted to be a year of unprecedented buying opportunity in the property markets around the world. Our speakers will demonstrate why that is and why we should be brave now and swim against the tide, although it IS turning…

http://www.themoneygym.com/events/property

Here are Judith’s Top 10 Reasons all about Opportunity.   Are you an Opportunist?

1. Because Warren Buffet says he feels “like a hungry mosquito in a nudist camp” right now and you want a piece of that action too.

2. Because you want to learn how to become a better Property Entrepreneur, negotiator, sales person, referrer or sourcer

3. Because you want to create a Property Business – part-time or full-time

4. Because you want to understand how to evaluate an investment opportunity

5. Because you want your One Networking Minute on our stage that day

6. Because you want to meet Martin Roberts off the telly and Rick Otton and all our experts in the flesh, real people who have done what you are about to do

7. Because you want to play Devil’s Advocate at the end of the day Q & A panel session – go on, you know you want to be the one to ask THE most unanswerable question!

8. Because you want to do just one property deal, or just one more

9. Because it’s a great place to find a hot date with a hot property investor!   The Money Gym’s Clients are 80% women – and none of them are looking to you to be a meal-ticket.

10. Because you just know in your bones that this is the right time to invest, and more importantly because it’s the right time for you.

http://www.themoneygym.com/events/property

Until tomorrow…

Judith

PS   There’s even a prize for the person who comes up with the best reason for NOT being able to get into property
