SuperCoach, Supporter Profiles & The Paul Daniels

This week has flown by, kicking off with an early start to London on Monday, to speak for the “Supporter Profiles” among the Wealth Dynamics crowd at the end of one of their weekends. Missing my Monday night poker game, tut, tut. I thought I would get there early, check in to the Millenium Gloucester, chill out, get changed and wander over to the conference center, but in spite of having prebooked a double, they gave me a twin and miles from the lift! Not happy.
Back down to reception, where I was told that, because it was before 2pm, that was all they had ready – come back later! The receptionist was bordering on offhand/rude but when I explained that I was a speaker, about to go on stage and hoping to change, she thawed a bit.
I went over to the conference center (very nice) and with the help of a pleasant, helpful, cleaner, found a large disabled loo where I was able to change in comfort. Then off to find Daniel Priestley who had booked me to speak. Also there was the marvellous Rohan Weerasinghe, who I haven’t seen for ages, and who spoke at both our Wealth Conferences, so it was nice to catch up.
Great idea, to spend the weekend with people helping them establish and then find out about their profile, and what it all means, then to spend the day with everyone divided into two rooms, Supporters, Stars, Creators & Dealmakers in my room, and to bring in a range of speakers specifically hand picked to show each profile ways for them to create wealth in their flow!
My talk on Membership Club Magic, membership sites to enable Supporter Profiles to monetise their networks, went very well, great lively crowd with lots of positive feedback. Daniel seemed pleased and one lovely man offered me a cheese bun afterwards. How kind.
I saw Wealth Dynamics creator (and Creator Profile himself) Roger Hamilton speak for the first time – isn’t he unfeasibly tall and good looking? Speaks at nineteen to the dozen and overflowing with “creator” energy and enthusiasm. Quite blew my mind with his extensive plans for the XL Nation.
And Judith “Birthday Girl” Morgan is hosting a webinar where she will be interviewing Money Gym members from each area of the Wealth Dynamics profile and she says “we are still looking for an MG Trader and an MG Accumulator by the way for our teleclass on Tuesday at 4.00pm” so if you fit the bill, email Judith [at] TheMoneyGym.com.
Back to the hotel, where the reception staff had totally redeemed themselves by upgrading me to a mini-suite without my asking – thanks guys!
Drinks and dinner with some fellow speakers and delegates and then an early night after watching Ashes To Ashes (set in the 1980’s – hilarious!) and I treated myself to breakfast in bed, as normally I have to get up at the crack of dawn for our events. Tempted by the Japanese breakfast but couldn’t quite bring myself to drink miso soup at 8am. Cool alternative though.
Then off to the London Book Fair to spend the day with Debbie Jenkins, my publisher, and a fun day it was too. I also hung out a bit with fellow author Rintu Basu from TheNLPCompany.com. He was fun and I met an amazing bunch of authors who were all in their 60’s and 70’s but busy writing their first or second books! Secured some signed copies for myself too! Got a sniff of a USA distributor for my book for Debbie and dragged her over to meet them – just can’t help myself. She had whiplash and her neck in a brace, poor thing!
The highlight of the day though, was realising that Paul Daniels (@thepauldaniels)was on the next stand, re-launching his kids books series Wizbits. I introduced myself as a follower of his on Twitter and got a big hug! I never normally do this stuff but thought I have to ask for a photo with him, and here it is! He was a lovely, down to earth, fun man, who entertained the crowds in the quieter moments with magic tricks.
On the train I was really enjoying “Supercoach” by Michael Neill, recommended by Judith, and which is one of those simple to read, yet very profound books. Highlighter out and many corners turned down for easy reference – and there is no higher praise than that for a book. Well done Michael and he’s coming ot London soon too.
Then home for a couple of days before back off to Canary Wharf on Friday, to broadcast live on Ustream, our private client presentation to those of our folks who can’t make it there themselves. Mike Crowe is also recording it for us to make available after the event. We are so high-tech nowadays!
Next week I’m speaking for over 60 property investors on how to use the internet to create extra cashflow at Hotel Du Vin in Brighton and you can book your seat here
Have fun on the wealth creation journey, we always do.

Robert Allen Going Wild

One of the biggest thrills on this holiday for me (and there were LOADS!) was meeting and hanging out with Robert G Allen, author of Multiple Streams of Income, Multiple Streams of Internet Income, No Money Down and One Minute Millionaire among others. He was there as a student, to learn how to use the internet to make sure that his next two books also go on the New York Times Best Seller List.
What a nice man! Who know has a signed copy of MY book (along with Bob Proctor!). How funny life can be sometimes……Bob got one of the hotseats and learned about Twitter (follow Bob at http://www.twitter.com/bestsellerbob ) and Ustream among other things, and I’ve just emailed him with more details about running a competition on YouTube like we did just before Christmas. Secure your cabin for next year, at http://www.themoneygym.com/holidays – can you really afford NOT to come?

Big Shout Out To Jason Moffatt & Ryan

You may notice that the blog’s looking a bit different….
I was taking a break from a major article and mooching around Jason Moffatt’s blog at http://www.jasonmoffatt.com/ which is always good and I noticed that he had a new blog for the more business / marketing orienated stuff.
I clicked over to http://www.ProfitMoffatt.com and noticed a ustream tv show box in the corner.
I was just saying to Steve that we need to find a blog theme that will take our ustream tv show stream in the corner, when lo and behold, Jason’s stream went live!
Very exciting when that happens!
I got chatting to the bloke in the tv (surreal) via their live chat link, whose name turned out to be Ryan, Jason’s support guy, about how they had done that (made a link to the pop up chat window, and Ryan kindly helped me out with some advice.
In return I advised him to make Jason get him a chair and table as he seemed to be sitting on the floor, but Ryan says he likes it there!
I’m a bit worried about his posture though! He is young yet….
Anyway the upshot is that we have had to change the blog template to get the Live TV box in the corner of ours!

Burglaries, Bootcamps & Brilliant Sunsets

Well, there is only eight hours to go to find out if I’ve won a trip to Florida to visit Rich Schefren’s office for a weekend and work with his team.
Week One I didn’t feel I’d achieved enough to enter (even though I HAD restarted my live wealth creation surgery / TV show on www.MoneyGym.tv),
Week Two I had techie challenges before giving up as it was all too stressful and the natural daylight gave out….but Week Three I thought ok, here we go. Taking no chances I started work on Wednesday!
Three weeks in, three live internet TV shows under my belt, the latter two with live video skype interviews of Money Gym Gold clients, it’s got to be worth a shot.
Add that to the fact that an odd but great side effect is that I’m exercising nearly every day, going to the gym just to able to listen to the coaching again and better absorb it.
Add that to the fact that I’ve secured a joint venture partner who can get me in front of 85,000 people in the UK, 100,000 worldwide….surely that’s enough to get me in the running?
So I made my video, edited fiercely, added music front and back (yes! my cheesy theme tune!) and annotated throughout…then uploaded to Viddler.com and I’ve tried to remain unattached to the outcome ever since.
I realised of course that I was submitting it wrongly, direct by email, the first two times, so I have resubmitted by online form, so fingers crossed.
(Learning takeaway is to always read the instructions…….yeah, as a 7-9 on the Kolbe Quickstart Index that does NOT come naturally)
What else has been happening this week?
I’ve recorded a video introduction to the Money Gym which we will be split testing on a welcome page, for cold traffic, along with our other two welcome / squeeze pages – the old fashioned one which used to convert at 14% and the more modern one converting at 2.64%.
We are honing our “potential new customer journey” all the time and Steve is constantly working on refining the experience the new customer has with us. There is a bit of a tug of war between the marketing dept (me) and the customer service dept (him) but he largely wins.
The Membership Site Bootcamp day went very well, with Mike Crowe filming, and he got some GREAT pics – I even liked how I looked when caught unawares, which is a miracle. Wonder how many Mike had to ditch before coming up with the final 20 or so. We are just waiting on permission from all concerned, before uploading them to Facebook & Flickr. Mike really managed to capture the informal but focused style of our workshops, so I’m very pleased.
Now, once Mike has got the DVD’s to Steve for editing into a virtual version of the day, we can create a product out of that, the webinars, the blog and membership site installation videos that we are having created…and then it’s onto an info page. Eeeeuuuuuwwwww, my least favourite bit. We usually write one ourselves so we have a control/test, then go and talk to some copywriters…….!!
My goal for 2009 is 10 x high quality cutting edge / evergreen info products like that, then I will have a whole armoury of products to go out speaking with.
As Autumn progresses, we have had some BRILLIANT sunsets in Shoreham this last couple of weeks. You always forget the sunsets are better in winter – why is that? I have often had to stop work and take some video but the quality is not as good as a camera would be. So just for this ezine, I’ve borrowed Steve’s camera and taken one as the sun sets…..look at that! I love the view from my office.
And I’ve had a bit of a larf with the “36 Things You Never Knew About….” list on the blog today, which reminded me of the most awful dream I had last night…I got burgled while I was living in a flat in Brighton (say what?) and came home to find a whole burglarising family stripping my possessions out and loading them into a van up the hill, and I woke up as I was running up the road after them shouting…
“Take the lot, but please not my lappie……………”
Have fun, we usually are!
Cheers
Nicola

Geysers, Goals, GPS and Going For Gold

I know! It’s been AGES! I have to hand my head in shame, as not since the birth of this ezine in 1999 have I missed so many weeks.
How has this happened, when I know that the ezine is the cornerstone, the bedrock of our marketing? Especially while the world is going mad and the papers are full of doom and gloom….I should have been reassuring you!
Because there are not many people in the Money Gym camp who are not making more money in these uncertain times….our Gold and Silver clients are as ebullient as ever and finding more opportunities to make money, not less! And the supportive environment we create via the private email group is enabling anyone who is struggling to get help, support and resources/recommendations FAST.
Well, the first week’s ezine was missed because it was the week before our Brett McFall event and there was just SO MUCH TO DO. I had no idea when we said “Hey, let’s do an event with Brett” how much we would be upping our game.
I have to say, he was a delight to work with…organised, professional, fun, calm, supportive, challenging in a nice way. I would go there again in a second and I hope we can get him back next year.
