What Have They All Learned Playing Cashflow?
(apart from the fact that all of them have now left their “Day Jobs”)
Cashflow 101 - Rich Dad's Game
£49 per person per day
First game 10am to 1pm. BYO networking lunch. Second game 2.30 to 6.30pm |
| “I've only played Cashflow once so far but did enjoy it. The bit that stands out for me was Philly quietly whispering to me with incredulity and giggles in her voice 'why on earth would you want to do that?!' when I was very pleased with myself having set an intent and landed on a particular place on the board. My mindset at the time was still one of employee. It makes me chuckle just to remember - and reminds me that for me business has to be fun. Also, watching master negotiators such as Sarah and Philly was fab - and to learn that that could be fun too - it seems like a long time ago and I'm interested to see myself if I've made any further strides.” ST, www.SueTrinder.com |
“Rich Dad Poor Dad, Cash Flow 101 has been described as being ‘Monopoly for grown-ups’. But it’s a lot more besides. The aim of the game is to get out of the rat race – and believe me, there’s a huge sense of satisfaction when you do! Even though it’s just a game, somehow it gives you the confidence to feel that you could do the same in real life. Once you are out of the rat race, you are free to spend your money as you choose, and it’s tremendously liberating. The whole experience for me was very empowering and, as the principles of the game are very ‘real’, helped to demystify the subject of personal finance. It’s definitely something I would recommend that everyone should try – however financially illiterate they feel. It certainly led me to instigate some major changes in my life.” YC, www.DanceYourselfHappy.com |
| “The game taught me how little I really understand about cashflow, and that I have good instincts and intuition which I don’t trust enough around money and finance – though happy to do so in other areas. Further, although I was apprehensive and nervous about exposing my ‘ignorance’ it was a very lovely, supportive, and often funny occasion where I learnt as much from the other participants’ attitudes and behaviours as I did from my own”. | “I had never played Cashflow before and was somewhat concerned because I knew it was all about investment and this put the fear of goodness knows what in me - having no experience whatsoever in investment. Anyway, as the game progressed, I found myself absolutely amazed at what huge fun it was, how brilliantly easy it was to play - with the kind help and guidance of my co-players - I found myself in a passive income lifestyle in no time at all - able to give up the day job etc. This was truly astonishing for me and I enjoyed the experience immensely. In fact, when I looked at my watch and realised, it was time to leave, I could hardly believe my eyes at the speed with which the time flew. Time flies when you are having fun! Altogether, this game has been instrumental in changing the way I now think about money." BT |
"I drove to London...I played ... I was financially free by game three! What a terrific experience! I was really surprised by the feelings which surfaced when I became financially free. Actually, I felt quite vulnerable after the euphoria quietened a little! Yes, I know it's only a game but I'd made some cracking deals along the way, all from the sanctuary of Judith's dining table! The experience brought home how tied to the wage packet we feel and how, with a different mindset, we lift our expectations and extend our horizons. If you haven't yet played, it's an exciting learning curve. Instructions should say: Add courage and self-belief to the equation and rebuild in the real world. Watch this space!" | “I was very curious about playing Cashflow after reading 'Rich Dad Poor Dad' so it was great that you gave me the opportunity to join in a game. I really enjoyed the afternoon because I got to play the game at last, everyone there was into wealth creation so I was in good company and it was good fun. During the game I was a 'janitor' on a low wage. I was really miffed at the time, because I thought I'd never get financially free. This turned out not to be true at all, you just have to learn how to recognize a good deal when the opportunity strikes.” LI |
| “Playing Cashflow is a really fun experience. It's confidence-inspiring and helps people to believe that they can be financially successful. You meet interesting people, you learn to understand the principles of investment and that wealth is about collaboration not competition.” FE |
| “I think, apart from playing the game itself, and getting familiar with the basic language of finance etc, the biggest thing that struck me about playing the games is the more intimate and intensive networking opportunity it provides. There's nothing else like it for that. I know lots of people prefer large networking events where they meet 50 people in an evening but this is ideal for those who either aren't used to networking or who prefer to mix up the events with some large ones and some smaller ones. I used to look forward to coming over and wondering who I was going to meet that day... very exciting part of it.” SR |
| "I played Cashflow with Judith and some other lovely folk, last year. I remember the game, although very new to me, was a lot of fun. Great game for building money intelligence. I would say it's a game that builds confidence to go out and do it for real." LA |
| “Playing taught me to think more creatively about getting into JVs and how to structure them so both parties get something out of the deal, and so that you have an exit strategy in mind from the beginning. It also taught me not to become a lawyer if you want to get out of the rat race ... oops, too late!” SJ |
"I love playing cashflow as it always give me a “lightbulb moment”, opening my eyes to what was always right in front of me, but out of sight. Whenever I play, it’s always a catalyst for change as it helps me to see what I need to do to take myself and my business to the next level."

| “Cashflow helped me buy my first property...really! In one of the first games I happened to be sitting next to property mentor Peter Stanley and the combination of his encouragement and example, learning new ways to think about investment and financial freedom, inspired me to take the leap of faith, stop renting and own. The game is just brilliant, worth traveling 2 hours each way to London to play.” Kate Bacon, www.KateBacon.com |
"My first experience of Cashflow 101 was a raucous Money Gym multiple-game gig. Great fun! But something wonderful happened that day and years later, I go damp-eyed just thinking about it. One of my team-mates drew a valuable card and rather than use it himself to build his assets, he knew it would make someone else financially free thus enabling them to get the rest of us out of the Rat Race. It was abundance in action and the most powerful thing I learnt that day. Cashflow games are a microcosm of life and a reflection of our beliefs and attitudes. They are a safe and perfect place to explore our thinking around risk-taking, scarcity, deal-making, opportunity and good fortune. So who was the winner of that first game of Cashflow? That day, we all won."
