A note from Nicola

Dear Friend
This week, I heard that I’m in the
current issue of Woman & Home again
and also Duncan Bannatyne’s business
magazine “The Sharp Edge” which is
fun. Cosmopolitan in February too.
The press is going well already.
I’ve been working on
The Money Gym (new membership
levels) in the daytime and MySpace
in the evenings and it’s been a week
dominated by hanging out with
teenagers online at MySpace –
learning how to do exciting things
such as “pimping” my two MySpace
profiles at
http://www.myspace.com/nicolacairncross
and
http://www.myspace.com/artistmanager001.
I tell you, some of the language and
terminology is a bit eye-opening!

ArtistManager.com is doing
brilliantly with over 1600 friends
already (all of whom I can broadcast
to at the drop of a hat – easier
than email even) and I’m on target
for 7000 friends for that profile
within a week.
The Nicola Cairncross and
The Money Gym profile has had
over 500 views and I’m concentrating
on quality friends for that one –
check out my Top 20!
ArtistManager.com started it’s own
“unsigned band” train this week too
so those of you who know what that
is… I’m looking forward to seeing
what happens there... and various
clients are starting to get it now,
especially the mentoring ones, as
I’ve sent out a series of emails
telling them why they should “just
do it”. Such a bully!
What’s coming up?
I’ll be sending out a separate
“dates for your diary” email
shortly, but I’m looking forward to
Tamkin’s “Secret Seminar” this week
as there are a number of new
speakers there who I haven’t met
yet. I’m going to be a “roving
expert” (with my own badge
apparently LOL) so that will get me
out of the “not moving out of
Shoreham” mode which I’m feeling at
the moment, after the festive
season.
Then there is the Ecademy Blackstar
day, then the London “Yes” Group
with Bob Proctor, at which
The Money Gym will be taking a
table and raffling off signed copies
of my book. Come along and meet us!
Judith’s coming down for
The Money Gym strategy day, then
it’s Alan Forrest Smith’s “Non
Conformist Marketing” day in
Heathrow. And that little lot should
wake me up for 2007!!
I’m delighted to report that my new
website marketing measures, as
suggested by Vanish Patel, have
increased my conversion of visitors
to
The Money Gym website to
confirmed subscribers from 1-3% to a
monstrous 11% - much more like it.
It’s only the first week, so I’ve
got to monitor it a bit longer but
it’s a strong start.
I’ve started tracking the
“stickyness” of the site too,
dividing my unique visitors into my
page views, to get a trackable
ratio.
The Money Gym is 2.38 so that’s
good I think. Google page rank back
up to 4/10.
Oooops, slipped into geekiness there
for a moment.

Are you in a state of Internet Info Meltdown?

This week, Adrianne Morris posted this comment in
response to Nicola's blog article
Launching 2 New Money Gym Levels:
 Hi,
Nicola - I'm so confused and overwhelmed already and
it's still the first week of the year.
I've just read your blog about all the new internet
sites and frankly didn't understand any of it. I feel
that I'm losing the plot and that if I don't spend more
and more time looking at these sites I'll get left
behind but it all takes up too much time - time which
I'm supposed to be spending finishing my thesis for my
life coaching course with NobleManhattan. I've done my
Wealth Workout Course with
Marcus de Maria and have set a few things in motion.
I've been receiving your emails for over a year and have
sorted my debts, own a few rental properties, but still
can't afford to give up the day job and make the
transition to full-time coach - I need to have 10
clients on the go - and only have 3.
I know I need to have multiple income streams but don't
know where to start with a website, wanted to come on
your course but could never find the right date, am not
that great with technology so, you tell me, please,
what's my next step to free myself up?
By the way, I do enjoy all your blogs/emails and you do
talk a lot of sense except when it's about internet
sites which I don't understand! Good luck for 2007.

Boy, I sure know how you feel – the internet stuff is
getting faster and faster and I feel so behind myself
sometimes! Compared with people like Armand Morin, Jim
Edwards, Mike Stewart, Stephen Pierce, Alan Forrest
Smith…..I’m a real baby. And
Andy Shaw…wow! He came to his first internet
workshop at the Acacia just a couple of years ago and
just look at him now with his book and membership
website (but, like some of the others, he does outsource
and has a whole team of people helping him)
What with the ezines, the new products, the
seminars…….I’m exhausted just thinking about it!! And
I’m pretty up to date with it all……..I seem to have a
natural talent for reading something new and grasping
the implications for our websites, the Money Gym clients
and our businesses, and I’m pretty action orientated.
And I have the wonderful
Steve Watson, who moans horribly about the way I
work but who takes my rough and ready web/business ideas
and turns them into things of beauty with no mistakes
LOL
I understand what you are saying about understanding it
all – Steve and Judith despair of me as I’m getting so
geeky! But I love it you see, if it wasn’t my business
it would be my hobby.
It feeds the things I’m interested in (reaching millions
of people online, discovering what good software can do)
and the things I love (one of my “core needs” is
learning new skills and one of my “core values” is
communicating, writing and sharing what I learn) and I
am lucky enough to do it all day. I love the fact that
the web world is creative and yet scientific when you do
it right. No guesswork there.
And don’t forget this IS my day job.

 Nicola, is just one of the most amazing people I
have ever met.
She is such an inspiring lady, who walks her talk
and generously helps through her work, and even on
meeting people light up their own vision, of why
they are here on this planet, and what really makes
them excited, happy and also what will bring them
money in.
She's a real dynamo of activity who brings so much savvy to the
world... at times it's a bit scary.. as she digests
current knowledge and just does it!!!! Yep, she's
lazor-quick!!!
As with anything, you get out what you put in...
there are some truly lovely people who are involved
in
The Money Gym, who will generously encourage,
support, and help you to achieve whatever it is you
would like.
Also, as people are keen to learn from
each other, there is a huge willingness, that is
genuine for people to help each other, and share
their knowledge- which of course is hugely valuable
when starting out on a wealth creation journey.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) - the mystery of f*ree
website traffic revealed

 The one thing
The Money Gym and
Automated Marketing Machine clients
often ask me about is Search Engine Optimisation – otherwise
known as SEO. They ask:
How can I get my site submitted to Google, Yahoo, MSN
etc.?
How can I get good rankings on those search engines?
How
can I get loads of free traffic without paying for adwords?
Is there software I can buy?
Are there specialists I can
pay?
The answer I have had to give them to date is that I don’t know -
I’ve never bothered with specialists or software, yet we get
between 2000-3000 unique visitors a month from organic
search results. Not paid for visitors, free visitors.

I'm still exploring this Attraction
mentality.
No doubt over the years I've faced and
fretted for limiting beliefs about money:
other people are rich, money doesn't make
you happy, you only make big money by
working long and hard and dirty… I found
these beliefs relatively easy to ditch once
I'd faced them head on and realised just how
silly and limited they were.
Attraction seems the next natural step –
beginning with that attitude of gratitude.
You just cannot believe how grateful I am
for the fact that I celebrated this
Christmas in a financially stronger
situation than I have ever been in, with
deeper bonds to my family who are living
closer to me than for the last 20 years…
Certainly I'm grateful. I wanted it, I
planned for it, did I attract it?
