This week we're in Lane #1 : Business
Supportive Environments At Work
by
Judith Morgan, Money Gym Partner
What would be a supportive environment for
you at work?
I work at h*ome and at the offices of my accounting clients.
I am used over the years to working in appalling conditions
but I was always aware that I did not do my best work if my
environment was anything less than comfortable. My personal
benchmark is that I should, if at all possible, not be aware
of anything which takes my concentration away from my focus
of attention.
So I don't want to be too hot, or too cold, or seated in a
way which makes me aware of any element of my posture, too
high, too low, not enough legroom. I want to be wearing
clothes I can't feel, so nothing restrictive, and I don't
want my hair to be annoying on my face, so regular haircuts
then.
The desk must be at the right height and the chair must be
able to move position, and not have arms. And I need
excellent light, preferably natural daylight.
And if I am w*orking at home I really want the washing-up
done, the bins emptied, and to have started the day with a
Starbucks, oh and all the surfaces cleared so I am only
concentrating on one thing at once.
And I'm NOT FUSSY!
What are your minimum conditions for comfort? What do you
NEED and what do you WANT (two quite different questions, by
the way)?
Have you ever considered this? Do you take time every day to
make sure you have these needs met, or do you over-ride them
all the time and then have to cope with the fallout?
If not, now's the time to draw up a list so that you can get
as many of your physical needs met a.s.a.p.
My coach has got me working on an experiment which I am
finding quite trying, it is this: I have a ..

"Well I've finally come to the end of
my Money Gym coaching year and what a fast
12 months it's been!
I'd say I'm a pretty focused person but
having just spent two days down in
London recently on my final MG workshop, I
was once again reminded how important it is
to take time out the business and work on it
not in it.
I'm a fairly savvy internet entrepreneur but
talk about forgetting the value of your
list... I've got one site with 18000 members
and have I cross-marketed to
them? Not yet but I will be doing now!!
Nicola and Judith were an inspiration as
always and as ever, the amount of
shared knowledge in the room was invaluable.
Here's to lots more passive income..... I
love it!!"

How EFT Gave Me A Mentality Makeover
by Marion Ryan,
Money Gym Wealth Coach
I'm
just back from Judith's
"Success on Tap" weekend which was two
wonderful days in a riverside venue in
London's Docklands, tapping for prosperity.
While Judith (pictured) organised it - and
beautifully too - the event was run by
Ann Ross who's a master EFT
practitioner.
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom
Techniques and what that means, in
simple-speak is that by tapping certain
parts of our face and body we can release
negative emotions that hold us back and
perhaps have been stopping us from achieving
personal success all our adult lives.
Could that be you too?
I mean, why haven't you got all those
things you say you want? Where's the dream
home, the constant stream of ideal clients
and the housekeeper? You've visualised
them, written them down and created the
vision board, for heavens sake. And all
those things already exist - so if you don't
have them, who has?
Rather more importantly, how can you
claim them for yourself and the wonderful
future life you're looking to enjoy?
When we...

A note from Nicola

Dear Friend
I’m experiencing an interesting
phenomena which is a bit of an eye
opener…….the less I have to do, both in
my head or in my diary, the more clear
and calm I feel, and the more focused I
am.
I can only assume this is because I am
only working on
The Money Gym Club, and
only doing the marketing of that -
thanks to the coaches doing the
coaching, Judith looking after the
coaches and the “big” finances, Steve
for shouldering all the logistics, admin
and day to day finance.
Because I have more space in my brain,
I’m finding that, if we have a challenge
or a situation, I just mull things over
for a while, and brilliant ideas are
surfacing.
Now I know this will probably be obvious
to you, my readers, and it’s something
we all know, and I used to coach clients
around it, but it’s actually a bit of a
challenge for most people to achieve.
Especially me, in the past.
Running more than one business, trying
do all the roles in each of those
businesses, trying to be a single mum to
little ones (now they are 9 & 12 years old
they are a lot more independent thank
goodness – they can feed themselves at a
push, the 12 year old even changes her
clothes and showers spontaneously!!)
A couple of examples…
Challenge 1:
I was puzzling
about how to get more traffic to the
site, as I felt that we don’t get enough
yet to be able to meaningfully look at
our conversion rates.
We are achieving 7.1% of new unique
visitors, to Free Level members (which
is great). Then we are achieving a 0.17%
conversion from new unique visitors to
Silver Level.
So I’m thinking, if we want more Silver
Level clients, we need more traffic. How
to get more traffic quickly, apart from
the joint ventures we are organising?
Google Adwords. We have a Google adwords
campaign running but you can imagine,
all the key words around wealth creation
are fiercely expensive ($5.00 - $10.00
per click - Purleesse!!) and competitive
and while I used to be a whiz at Adwords,
and can still do it, in tight niches, I
don’t want to have to bring myself up to
speed with the latest changes. No budget
for a Google Adwords Professional, how
can I find someone who can do Adwords,
and encourage them to either set up a
campaign for themselves via an Affiliate
link, or manage our campaign for
commission? Who do we know …
Answer: Ecademy.
Must be people on there. I did a key
word search on Ecademy, which turns up
111 Google Adwords professionals.
Painfully slow to personal message each
one, but it worked – I found someone
within 15 minutes!!
Challenge 2:
Then I’m thinking
“We are already getting lots of traffic,
how can we improve conversion?”
We could try new copy on front page –
more punchy and more about benefits of
joining, change existing copy to all
about getting ezine signups really. No
budget for one of my preferred
copywriters, Alan Forrest Smith, Tim
Warnock or Nick Wrathall (in no
particular order!!) so how could I find
a fledgling copywriter to try improving
it?
Answer: Run a
competition!! Our mailing list has
copywriters in it and also I can go to
those three and ask them to encourage
any of their protégés to enter it!
Details will follow soon...
See what I’m saying. You need space for
things to pop up!
Then all you need to do is act on it!
Quick. And I do.
It’s been a busy but fun week, with more
meetings, calls and webinars with
potential strategic partners - we have
confirmed that we will be working with
one chap, from Ecademy, who has a
mailing list of 17,000 business people.
The plan is twofold: to work with people
with big lists. Do you have one?
We can host f*ree specialist webinars
for your subsribers. This creates
unexpected added value for your
subscribers making you look great, a
product for you to market with or sell
after the event as it is recorded, and
an opportunity to earn commission if
someone then joins The Money Gym club
through your introduction.
The webinar can also be distributed via
our iTunes Podcast (remember to
subscribe by searching for “Money Gym”
in Podcasts, in iTunes). This is
still one of the best ways to get
traffic to your website without paying
for it, as the podcast directories are
still featuring high in search results.
The second part is to allow people to
re-brand the 101 Wealth Tips email
version of my Wealth Workout book, so
that they can offer it as a free gift
from their own site, or serialise it.
Judith has also offered to create an
audio version of the book, which we can
then podcast, and also sell from the
site as a product. She’s focusing on
audio, while I focus on video.
Talking of which, if you have missed it,
there are two fabulous new videos on
the
blog – one of Maria Davies covering the
first 15 minutes of our Live Webcast at
the end of last year, and one of a baby
panda and a mummy panda………well, you
watch for yourself and enjoy it! Makes
me laugh every time.
Socially we have the wonderful Beach
Dreams Carnival this Saturday – my son
Nelson is in the parade, weighed down by
a hot, heavy costume, no doubt. It’s
like a rite of passage for Shoreham
children, dancing in the parade. I’ll
try and get some photos...
Until next week... have fun!
